Yeah same. I'm usually out on the weekends but I stay home during the week and rarely venture out. I'm so sick of it and want normal life to resume soon. I miss going out and not worrying about getting sick.

I had that song in full length at one point, but i lost it. I think it was back in 2014 or something as I found it somewhere. I don't think I downloaded it though; I just recorded it off of of the website. The name of the site escapes me.

This is so sad. I will miss Charles dearly. He was such a nice person, I remember first meeting him over at the TWCC forums back in 2007 and he shared so much knowledge on classic TWC and his emulations. May he live in peace. :(

I loved the music they played yesterday. Here are some more songs that played throughout the day.

(all times are CST)

6:48AM - Dancing Queen - ABBA
4:18PM - Y.M.C.A. - Village People
4:48PM - One Way or Another - Blondie
5:18PM - I will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
5:48PM - Old Time Rock and Roll - Bob Seger
6:18PM - You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet - Bachman Turner Overdrive
6:49PM: Tiny Dancer - Elton John

I wish they did this every day.

Did anyone record LF clips from those days they played the vocal music?

Sadly, as others have already said, the majority of members left due to TWCs decline in the past decade...  it's just not the same. Every once in a blue moon I'll take a glance at the forum from afar to see what all people are doing, but I don't see much activity at all that interests me. I do keep in contact with some other old timers from here, which is fantastic!

While I still admire the technology aspect of TWC and work with my STAR hardware, I don't particularly care for the network as it stands today. My family ditched cable back in 2015, and frankly, I am a-okay with not having TWC anymore. Netflix and Hulu FTW

I do miss all the buzz and random discussions we all had back in the day on these forums, though!
Yeah, me too. I still keep in touch with many of you guys that I've known over so many years as well, and I am so grateful for that! :) Those memories of our good times here on the forums and TWC shall never die.

I miss those days from summer 2011 and beforehand so much. i pray daily they bring these monthly jazz playlists and 2 minute locals back, but I know that will never happen again so I have to live and move on from that. It's great to enjoy moments like this back then. Especially this song from 11 Augusts ago!

Good to hear from you too, Stephen! I have no interest in TWC anymore and it's been like that for years, though I have been watching Daniel's past playlist clips on YT over the past few weeks to relive the memories.

It's been at least several years since I've logged back here but now that I'm out of work for a while and have a lot of time to kill, I've been watching my old playlist clips over the past few weeks just reminiscing the memories.

How is everyone lately? Does anyone still remember me? :P

Really sad TWC went from full on 2 minute locals with regular playlists to just two dinky 1 min locals every hour. Anyone kept tabs on the music?

Back on New Year's Eve, they played Daft Punk's One More time and Sandstorm by Darude.

Does anyone know who does the music on the Local on the 8s?

That's terrible. I used to talk to him on skype/google talk back in the day almost daily. He was such a nice guy. What a tragedy :( I haven't been able to keep in touch myself as well

You guys should have seen the old TWCC boards during the "meltdown" back in 2008... there would be hundreds of posts just during that overnight period. It's like what you see on your Facebook feed if you're friends with like a thousand people.
Yeah, i remember that time very well.

I am also not as active as I used to be 10 years ago. It's not only because my interest in TWC has diminished, but I've moved on to other/more important things in my life such as work, grad school, traveling, etc. I really do miss the old days, though. I spent a huge chunk of my time on the forums since my interest in TWC was also at its peak during that time. I still visit the forums whenever I can. I can't forget the memories and friends I've made over the years, and I'm still interested in learning what's new with TWC every once in a while, though I don't have cable anymore and haven't watched TWC regularly in 6 years.
