* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...IN ARKANSAS...
BENTON...CARROLL...CRAWFORD...FRANKLIN...MADISON...SEBASTIAN
AND WASHINGTON. IN OKLAHOMA...ADAIR...CHEROKEE...CRAIG...
CREEK...DELAWARE...MAYES...MUSKOGEE...NOWATA...OKMULGEE...
OSAGE...OTTAWA...PAWNEE...ROGERS...SEQUOYAH...TULSA...WAGONER
AND WASHINGTON.
* FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING
A LARGE THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX IS BEGINNING TO ORGANIZE ACROSS
NORTHEAST KANSAS AND NORTHWEST MISSOURI EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. THIS
COMPLEX IS EXPECTED TO ACCELERATE TO THE SOUTH LATER THIS
AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING WITH ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPECTED
ALONG THE WESTERN FLANK OF THE STORM COMPLEX. A MOIST AND UNSTABLE
AIRMASS WILL BE IN PLACE AHEAD OF THE STORM COMPLEX WHICH WILL
HELP MAINTAIN EXCESSIVE RAINFALL RATES WELL INTO THE NIGHT.
WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES APPEAR LIKELY IN THE
FLASH FLOOD WATCH AREA WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 5 INCHES
POSSIBLE BY MONDAY MORNING. THESE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL
LIKELY RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS RAPIDLY RISING WATER OR FLOODING IS
POSSIBLE WITHIN THE WATCH AREA. IF YOU ARE IN THE WATCH AREA...
