Local Forecast / Re: 1988-90 music

Thanks anyway, I've been able to find all my old favorites except that one.  The closest I can think of is the long synth blasts from the very beginning of Tiger Okoshi's "One Note Samba", except they were played on an electric guitar, and more towards the middle of the song (perhaps even more than once, like a chorus).   The song had kind of a dark, foreboding feel about it, like when I first heard it as a kid I pictured the band playing out in some field with a thunderstorm coming.  I thought it might have been in the "name that tune" section before, but maybe not.  One other weird thing is I lived in Texas and I thought they had stopped playing it, but one time I was in Kansas on a trip and they were playing it again, so I thought different parts of the country had different music at different times.  Anyway, thanks for all your work in putting this site together.

Local Forecast / 1988-90 music

Hi, I was wondering how complete the local forecast playlists from about 1988 to 1990 and the "name that tune" and "former unknowns" pages are?  There's a song I'm looking for that isn't in the playlists that I think is from that time (the first summer I had cable was 1988, and 1990 was the last full summer before switching to WeatherStar 4000), and I'm not seeing it in "former unknowns" either, but I thought I did find it in "name that tune" a long time ago.  The song is hard for me to describe, and I don't know the exact month, year, or flavor of local forecast, but I'm pretty sure I first heard it in the summer and it was longer than 1 minute.
