How long has the little note underneath the forecast conditions for the 7-day outlook (as an example, they had a little note about hurricane conditions possible in the days before Hurricane Irene hit and the day where the conditions were possible had a red rectangle around it) been there? It just suddenly appeared like a few weeks ago.

Recieved a special weather bulletin a few days ago that read
... A shot of heavy rain moving through the area...

Doppler radar is showing a developing area of heavy rain in the
Raritan valley and the immediate Philadelphia area. This area will
be moving east central New Jersey between now and 10 mph.
Mesonet
stations are reporting rainfall rates of around one quarter of an
inch per hour. Anyone driving over the next couple of hours should
be alert for heavy rain and ponding of water in poor drainage
areas. Where possible please take roadways that are not less flood
prone. This rain is moving fairly quickly and should not cause
any problems with streams or rivers or cause widespread roadway
flooding.
I've boldfaced the mistake. I knew rain could move houses but never parts of a state. Surprised they didn't catch it.

During the 12:28 Local Forecast, the sound went out and the screen changed to the national feed. Plus much of NJ has a Severe Thunderstorm Warning claiming that doppler radar "indicated a line of heavy sowers" Of course they meant showers but kinda makes me wonder what sowers are.

Earlier today they had the meteorologist's name appear before she actually moved onto the screen and it faded away until she actually did come on screen.

When a hurricane related show came back from the break at 3:45 ET, there was a brief (like a second or two) clip of the national forecast before it went back to the show.

Earlier this morning, I noticed that during the Thunderstorm outlook, they had a different format for cities (was just plain white text as opposed to putting them with "boxes" like they did later on and now. I think it was a pre-HD format because it seemed to be fixed during the next airing of that segment.

Yesterday, Mike Seidel was reporting from Memphis but at one point they showed him reporting from Memphis at night (it was dark behind him, the city lights were glowing) when it clearly shouldn't be because it's still daytime in the US.
Was this during the WUWA repeat? The sun hadn't risen yet during the original airing of WUWA.
It could've been. I wasn't really paying attention to the show.

About a minute ago, there was a brief blooper where Carl Parker was talking about the former TS Colin when the screen changed to show three squares, one with Heather from her backside and the other two each showing part of the Tropical Update logo respectively.

I've seen that font for the city in the 3rd pic. I think it's the national feed. I notice they place the one for places around your area on top but at times I've seen it switch to the one in the 3rd pic.

Just recently tonight, during the part of the show where they show just the precip they had one of the names read "LABEL" instead of "SUNNY" or "SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS"

Same thing happened back in January......

Picture taken by me on January 22, 2010
That looks like that would've been fun to watch their reaction to.

Local Forecast / Re: City by City side bar Info.
« on: June 03, 2010, 01:39:18 PM »
I hate it, especially since (I think) on weekends I notice it takes up MORE of my screen. Plus it's not helpful when you have a warning crawl ON TOP of the side bar so part of the conditions for your area are cut-off. I liked the blue side-bar better. It was more with their color scheme and NEVER took up anymore than the warning crawl.
