What's wrong w/ bolt wx?  What you all are doing is prejudice.   Let's wait for the site to even come out.
It's just the same as SS8. the same leaders, same maps, graphics... everything, but just a different name ;)

No one has taken over, and we are not the same as SS8. The graphics and maps are still the same as SS8 because we made the decision literally just a day before this happened, so we didn't have time to make anything new. This is also why our stream hasn't been updated in a few days.
The maps are more or less taken directly from weather.com, aren't they?

Actually they are generated by a program which gets them from the NWS

Gotcha. I think it would be best to cite your sources in the videos

Another thing I just thought of, does the SS8 project have the rights to all of the music they use. Its claimed that Trammell gave the OK to use his music but unless you have a signed agreement I dont think its really legal. Plus it would not surprise me one but if TWC had attached some strings to the music preventing any competition (although I dont consider the SS8 to be that) from using it. Kinda unoriginal too using Trammell anyway. :dunno:

Yes, we do buy all the rights to the music we use. We contacted Trammell via phone and he did give us permission to use the music, and we did request that he wrote an email to us saying that exact same thing.

Just out of curiosity, is Andrew a member of this forum, and if so, is his user name apoecker? :dunno: Robomayhem posted like he was Andrew, so I thought Andrew may have changed his username.
Robomayhem isn't Andrew.
I am Michael, the one person not even talked about in that article.

And about the newspaper, I don't have the entire details on how it was written, all I know is we were all interviewed for it, asked a few questions about SS8, and that was it. From there, it was published, and I have no idea who it was written by.

Gee.. Thanks guys, I really feel welcomed here now

We work our butts off to get weather information out to you guys, creating weather maps, and yes, we do get most of our forecasts from the National Weather Service, however, we do have some expertise in some subjects.

It would be an absolutely stupid thing for TWC to sue us, because 1) it's a waste of their time, and 2) We are not violating any copyright/patent laws, and 3) If they sue us, they have to sue WeatherUnderground and every other weather website out there, which is illegal because then you have a monopoly. We are simply a weather site on the internet, nowhere close to TV yet.

If you guys hate SilverStar 8 so much, just stop watching us.

I had the right show just the wrong day. This thing is a beast! TS winds extend out 510 miles, that's 70% larger than a normal hurricane!

lol

275miles for TS, 110miles for Hurricane winds

I think I remember Paul around 8pm saying that Storm Alert at TWC means that a Hurricane is going to make landfall in the US between 15 and 18 hours, The timing was a few hours off, but they were very close

I say they go into Storm Alert 4pm Friday
