Programming and Graphics / Re: TWC going all long-form on Thanksgiving Day

Starting this morning, TWC is advertising "The Earth Unlocked" marathon all day Thursday for Thanksgiving. So, it is officially going to happen. Now, assuming there's no big weather going on and they come to their senses and preempt at least some of it, a record 32 straight hours of long-form will start on Wednesday night at 10pm et and end Friday morning at 6am et. Currently, the record for consecutive long-form streak is 18 hours, set on the last few Saturday nights into Sunday mornings of Fall Clock Change weekend from 1pm-6am et (which is normally a 17-hour gap, but an extra 1am hour on that first Sunday morning in November makes it 18 hours). And to go along with this, "Winter Storm Alston" was named within the past few hours and they're having automated winter storm updates during long-form at roughly :00 and :30. When they have updates (studio or automated) during long-form, Local on the 8s doesn't air at all (it airs only at :18 during long-form when no updates are running). What this means is Thanksgiving Day could pass without a single Local on the 8s forecast airing at all. This would not be the first such instance in TWC's history, but it's certainly an unprecedented scenario for a segment that has existed in one form or another for the entirety of TWC's 43+ year history.
