:thrilled:

But the gray text at top is a LITTLE too dark for me. Can you go into the CSS and change that? Thanks! :)

Well, as promised, here are the end of the year announcements we did. I think you all can tell where I'm at :P
I was nervous like you would not believe, and was shaking while I was reading off my script. We have a lot of bugs and things to iron out for next year, and yes, I will be the "weatherman" in it.

End Of The Year Announcements June 2010

Do not wear that hoodie if you end up doing chroma key in your announcements! :P

General Discussion / Re: Google: NO Kids Allowed

Back when I was in Middle/Jr. High school, we students were writing research papers using Google as one of our aids. Nowadays, some students are lucky if they even get to use the internet in school at all.

Why is that? My school bought two carts of laptops and numerous new desktop computers this year. (These were mainly upgrades, but some computers were actually new in the classrooms.) And my school isn't exactly doing great financially. :P If anything, they're getting to use the internet more.

What matters most is what you want your cell phone to do and what features are offered.  It's going to vary for everyone, so we're all stating our own opinions here based on what we like.  It just stuns me what cell phones these days can do.  All I want is one that can make a call! :P

Patrick, you are SOOOOOOOO old-school. :P

Changing the subject of discussion.... This disturbs me quite a bit:
Time to whip out the ole belt!! More parents need to whack their kids once in a while. Its not mistreatment at all.... its effective punishment :club:

Uhhh...Martin? Did you read the video title correctly? :P

That kid needs to be whacked across the face. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. Rule of like: Don't hit your own mother. <_< And to the people who think that slapping is child abuse, it isn't. I got slapped when I misbehaved, and did I go running to the police? Call 911? Ask Dr. Phil to remedy the situation? (cough) No! Children need discipline.

Could we be seeing Alex around the 21st of this month? Way too far out to say for sure, but it's worth noting.

06z GFS computer model run

The pressure seems a bit high for it to be Alex, but it definitely looks formidable! :D (Who knows? It might be TS Alex in the Gulf and weaken to TD Alex by that image.)

EDIT: After looking at the GFS wind models, the winds on the outside of the storm will be around 25 knots. That makes me think the inner winds will be 30 to maybe 50 knots. If we go above 40, we have Alex. Really doesn't look that greatly organized, though.

General Discussion / Re: Your Interactive Program Guide
« on: June 05, 2010, 04:30:11 PM »
This is my (pretty close) mockup of the IPG for DISH DVRs. The guide design varies with each type of receiver...only the DVRs are all alike. This is in the default configuration...I'm working on the others.

EDIT: Added one with data in it and some minor fixes made.

DISH DVRs' guides have never had any ads, but you can't change themes unless you wanna take out the hard drive and screw with it there. :P

The only things you really can change are the font size (and subsequently how many programs are shown at once), you can remove the inset screen (who would want to do that?!), and modify personal channel lists.

I just typed all of that on my iPod, and I'm fed up with this keyboard. Rawr! Anywho, that's the DISH DVR IPG.

That's ridiculous. I'm on my iPod, so I could only see the video title, but that is...uncalled for.

im both ways, good to where you get fridays off, bad that hours increase and homework time is reduced before people go to bed :itsok:

Why not just make an hour or so of the extra time a study period? :)

Google lets you add a background image now...

Ah, I see a little competition with Bing coming on now... :whistling2: :P

Haha...that really took off when Google got the search options to the left instead of on top and got the simplified logo and homepage. Google will win. It's much scarier, corporately, than Microsoft.

I see it essentially shows some of the same information as the LDA. If it's for all programming, then the LDA will be redundant.
