General Discussion / Question...
« on: February 14, 2009, 09:29:20 PM »
Is there any service that displays ads for open-source programs only and/or does not pay you when someone clicks on the ad?

I'm opening up my new blog at http://sevoa.xtreemhost.com/wordpress and I don't want to be paid when you all click.

Thanks all!

It's a lot easier with the annotations editor.

IMO, teaching contraception to a bunch of horny teenagers is the equivalent of telling them to feel free to bang at will as long as they use a condom.
Quote of the week, right there.

I learned that in teh AIDS talk. I learned more than I wanted to know.  <_<

EDIT: The people who spoke had AIDS. The guy got it from drinking and subsequent wild sex. When he said that, knowing I was in a group of ~30 adolescent and mostly sexually-minded boys, I slammed my head into my hands and waited for the talk to be over.

I just saw a commercial for a juicebox with a probiotic straw "to do anything".

They didn't have crap like that when I was 5 (and skinny, for that matter :( ) and I have an IQ exceeding 140. And according to my mom's experience with kids as a teacher's aide, they're slowly getting dumber.

It's not the kids' fault. It's the parents and the teachers and society as a whole. I'm one of those people who have an IQ of 143, but that's because my parents gave a damn, and so did the school district to make sure people got the education they needed. Due to Bush's No Student Left Behind thing, the teachers can only teach at the pace of the slowest student, and it makes the smarter students suffer. I hate to be blunt like that, but it's the reality. I'm not saying it's the student's fault, I blame the parents.

I agree and blame parents more than kids, because children have to do what their parents say.

Alright, my two sense worth. First of all, when I took sex ed they taught contraception, not just abstinence. Not sure when that changed, but it shouldn't have. However, I also believe that abstinence should also be taught. IMO, teaching contraception to a bunch of horny teenagers is the equivalent of telling them to feel free to bang at will as long as they use a condom. Not cool.

I'm 23 and still not sure I'm ready to be a dad. And I also happen to be a virgin. I guess I'm one of the few guys that doesn't get with girls just to bang them.
There are some schools, not just catholic ones, that teach abstinence only sex education, mainly because parents get offended or something. I was lucky to have been taught sex ed with contraception. On another note, some schools let you be signed out of sex ed (exempt) by a parent. My school wouldn't allow that due to the fact that every week it's like someone else was walking around with a pregnant belly. I am one of the few guys that doesn't get with girls just to bang them for 2 reasons... 1) I respect them, 2) I happen to be gay :P ... but at any rate, the kid looks like he's 8.

LOL, see that, there's an advantage to being gay. You don't have to worry about impregnating a guy!  :D

'Tis lulzy, my friend.

I do know that, but I still find it to be frowned upon.

I'm a Baptist. Baptists are Christians. Christians believe going *whistle* before marraige is a sin. Because the 10 Commandments are teh total awesomeness.

There. </rant>

EDIT: I've never even gone out with anyone And I don't plan to lose that invisible sticker that generally keeps me an A student. Now I can say that I don't plan to go out with anyone. </rant>.
