General Discussion / Re: Earth Hour 2009
« on: March 26, 2009, 01:52:33 PM »
I know it's about 3 days away, but I am so going to participate along with 50 billion people around the world to turn off the lights for one hour. I've been seeing so much ads about Earth Hour 2009, besides TWC. I wonder if more people would take action this year to just shut off their lights for one hour...
Is anyone going to shut off their lights for Earth Hour this Saturday?

There are only about 6 billion people on Earth. So how are there 50 billion? Baby boom? :P

I think I'll turn off the lights for a while that day, but not for an hour.

Here's a teaser of my next project: 2005-2008 Graphics in SVG (and PNG).

Attached is my blank YWT teaser...it's hard to see against this light background, but open it in an editor and put it on a dark background to see it.

Haven't been here for a while! I found a sekrit (well, not really) in Google Earth that lets me use my L3rds. Evilly. Take a look.

If you think this is an image overlay, *buzzer*. But you're really close. :google2:

Looks like someone stepped up to the plate

Alejandro, just because you have DTV doesn't mean everyone else does. Too many coupons are needed on the waiting list and they're out. Many people can't afford a digital converter box in this economy.

This isn't meant for the procrastinators, it's meant for the people who absolutely can't get them. <_<

Could someone help me out...

I have pops up coming up every 2-3 minutes ,even when I turned on the "Disable PopUps" setting in Trend Micro and IE. It's still coming up. And when I started my computer, I got a warning message saying "Your computer has various signs of viruses and malware!!! Your system needs to scan for virusses immediately!!"
Then a program called AntiSpyware 2009 came up.

I just closed out of the program since I know based on the spelling and grammar that it's malware itself. Has anyone ever gotten this before? I'm doing a Trend Micro scan right now and it found no threats on my system but the popups still appear. AntiSpyware and Trend Micro are not related with each other AFAIk.

Phony antivirus...do NOT use it at all or allow it to install anything. Most of the time there'll be a program (in add or remove programs) with a name of the likes of "ShoppingAds Helper". Go ahead and remove it, and you'll see zero ads, or at least a reduction after that. Happened to me too.

General Discussion / Re: The new iPod shuffle ... ?!
« on: March 12, 2009, 09:55:12 PM »
I was given a 512MB Generation 1 iPod shuffle for Christmas a few years ago.... I used it every day until I bought a 6G iPod Classic Silver 80GB (which are now discontinued <_<). I like my ipod better than the shuffle.

My iPod nano 4th Gen is fine with me!

General Discussion / The new iPod shuffle ... ?!
« on: March 12, 2009, 06:41:33 PM »
Very recently Apple introduced the new iPod shuffle. Take a peek here.

I personally don't like it because of its size. Where's the pause button? What's up with the bare area on the front and all sorts of things on the back? If there's that much space, shouldn't they put an Apple logo on the front?! Maybe I'm just used to the thumbpad-sized version of the shuffle. Any other thoughts?

Got distracted, I made a new project in about 15 minutes. 2009 Weather Channel Icons. Take a look, because they're pretty cool!
Very neat. Could you make icons for EE, A&B, WO, and the old WC? Thanks.  B)

EE: Possibly. 3-D Effects: Probably not.
A&B: Sure!
WO: If I can find a title card...
Old WC: Should, I think it's pretty close to the Meta Bold font, saving lotsa retracing...
