that is the only website reporting his death...the media would be all over this if it really did happen...i give it a couple of more hours until the truth comes out.

General Discussion / Re: Might get a new wireless router
« on: June 22, 2009, 07:34:56 PM »
so sorry, i don't wanna hijack your thread, but it seems relevant.

i intend on buying a wireless router in the near future, however i don't know what type i should purchase...or how to hook it up.

i don't want to buy something that isn't capable of working with the modem/laptops i've got.

General Discussion / Re: Six Flags Seeks Bankruptcy
« on: June 14, 2009, 12:57:54 PM »
I doubt Great Adventure will be gone. It is after all the chief and largest Six Flags park.

yeah, but in these economic times even the best of the parks can be asked to cease operations...take chrysler for example, they're closing the best selling dealerships.

yeah, completely irrelevant from each other...but things like that happen.

the article does state all six flag parks will not be affected, so i suppose that's a good thing for now.

TWC Today News / Re: Local Across The 48s #4- June 25

I'm good but it'll just have to be a camera looking at my TV at the satellite LF.

Everyone fine with that? I have close to no equipment to do this except a DVR and a digital camera with movie capabilities. :P

that's probably what i'll end up doing, lol.

Has anyone noticed that you can download MP4 files of your own videos directly from YouTube now (by clicking on my videos)? I like this feature, now I can download my old 2006 clips I don't have on my HD anymore incase my account gets suspended.

Yep, I wish there was a way you can convert it to wmv's though.

wish granted: http://www.mediaconverter.org/

very trustworthy site, i use it all the time.

I could commit suicide because of how I've been treated here.  For those of you who have been nice to me, I thank you.

that's taking it way too far...you don't even know the meaning of having suicidal thoughts so stfu.

i'm not against you in anyway, but that statement there really pissed me off...

Local Forecast / Re: General HD Satellite LF Discussion
« on: June 12, 2009, 01:22:04 PM »
speaking of which...I was watching TWC HD at a friends house a couple of days ago, but there wasn't an HD Satellite Forecast...they have AT&T U-Verse, it was the regular satellite forecast, anyone know why this was so?
Was there an LDA (left display area) on the regular broadcast?

no...thought that was discontinued? so i suppose i was really watching the SD broadcast, weird.

Ratings generally tend to depend on the time of day rather than the OCMs for the most part, I would say. YWT and WV get the best ratings because people tune in to TWC in the morning to catch their morning weather. PM Edition gets good ratings because that's when people are coming home from work and school and want to know the weather for the rest of the day, and the the former EE timeslot gets slightly decent ratings as people check in to get a glimpse at the next day's forecast. Abrams & Bettes will now get to enjoy their best chance at good ratings ever now that they're moving to YWT.

however people tend to tune in to personalities they enjoy watching...though i still agree with you, i was just saying. haha.

General Discussion / Re: Swine Flu
« on: June 11, 2009, 04:01:55 PM »
Been almost a month since last post, but baaaad bad news is approaching here. Swine Flu is now a pandemic.

http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=news/world_news&id=6860107

i think it's a bunch of bull...the media loves to use the propaganda method on everything now-a-days.

maybe it's time to update the scale to being called an actual "pandemic"...just my personal opinion.

if they keep shifting everyone around, ratings are going to plummet until viewers understand the new schedules...NBC is retarded.
