so; today is the day...my last full day in San Antonio. Tomorrow i'll be leaving to San Angelo about four hours away sometime in the afternoon.

you might not see me around for the weekend as I unpack and meet new people, so I hope to be back online after the first day of classes on monday.  B)

oh and I also have to adapt to new channels (obviously), something in which I hate doing  (meaning my sig will be updated with the San Angelo Star ID) :P lol

the forecast tracks keep taking it slightly more eastward upon every update, so at this point we can only wait, watch, and prepare.

Well, it is now being discussed that Bill could miss the US completely due to a jet stream/trough that may take the Atlantic high pressure and thus, Bill, further out to sea. But, there is still one scary scenario that has remained within the realm of possibility all week, and still is. In short, another 1938 set-up. This jet stream could be in the perfect spot to funnel Bill right up towards NYC, a situation that is now overdue. I am saying this is likely, as it is still over a week out, but it certainly can't be ruled out at this point.

Your right Aaron, it's possible and it's a scary thought not only because of the population, but because of how many people I know won't be prepared if that did happen with Bill.

Also I was on wunderground's website and TD#4 looks like it's trying to rebuild convection on the NW side, I wanna know why this hasn't been classified as "Claudette" and why Ana hasn't been downgraded. It looks no more like a TS than TD #4 looks like a TD.
Well, TWC is now calling it Claudette, and I see "Claudette" on the NHC page for the storm, but I can't find any advisories classifying it as a TS.

EDIT: I meant to say "I am not saying this is likely" in my original post here

Intellicast is also calling TD4 Claudette...so I think it's safe to say we now have Claudette...i guess the advisory hasn't been released.

IDK, I think Ana is starting to pull her act together:

but there are only 9 Frames, so I can't exactly tell...but it looks like convection is starting to fire up in the last few frames on both satellite images.

now as for bill, he looks pretty impressive:

this storm could be interesting...track wise.

I noticed there is a redish glow on the set today. Where is that coming from?

Heather's shirt  :P...um but it looks like it may be part of the studio is lit up red for what's typically used in storm alert.

oh and do Heather and Carl match daily like how it used to be with Marshall? I never paid attention until I saw that picture...

Al, you're coming to a stage of sadness there. Some of us have been through it before. It's gonna a pretty tough weekend there so you'll get through it! Make sure you are also keeping in touch with them if you can. College is very exciting! But can also be very hard at times. I wish you a very successful year!

will do B) thanks, Ana.

I wish you the best of luck with a new life, Al.  I know it can be sad leaving all your friends and family.

BTW, what college are you attending? :dunno:

thank andy! I'm attending Angelo State University in San Angelo for a while, and I may possibly transfer after two years, but i'm not too sure yet.

Yeah I started mine earlier last week (to the people who are leaving)  Luckiliy, my best friend is opting to stay here for a couple years, like myself, so that's nice.  But a lot of close friends are leaving :(.  And yes, it is sad.  But I am sure it'd be more sad if I was leaving too.  It must be mixed emotions, Al.  I am sure you are excited and nervous abotu college, sad about leaving friends and family.

you're so lucky. haha I wish my best friend was at least in sight of my university, but he's not. lol

we'll get through this, and we'll have a blast this first year...no doubt  :bleh: B)

so this weekend marks my last weekend in San Antonio as I head off to college, some of my friends left today...and i've come to the conclusion that...it sucks.

lol -- i hate saying goodbye, i hate hearing goodbye -- i actually prefer "later", as I see friends drive off into the direction of their college/university I can only wonder if we'll ever see each other again...although deep down I know we will for holidays such as Thanksgiving and Winter Break etc.

but still, adapting to this new environment I will be calling "home" next weekend is going to be tough, new people, new friends, new courses, new everything, part of me is excited...the other part of me is brought down with sadness.

a new chapter begins next weekend for myself, and other 09ers heading off to college (if your classes begin aug 24  :PB)
