Kinda hard NOT to have a credit card these days. I wouldn't want to carry around tons of cash. You're not going to buy a computer or a car are whatever in cash. That's just crazy. You have to know the limits, you can't just go on shopping sprees. You'd think it would be common sense, but yet more and more people are in debt.

thats a good point, gil. if i were to get a credit card, it'll only be one card.

My teacher keeps saying that we have to act for our ages but dont realize that freshman are immature and dont learn maturity until they're a Junior.

Only a few act up to their ages. I know this kid in my class who keeps talking about credit card bills

i know quite a few friends and people who are my age (if not older) who have a credit card, its not all that uncommon for a teenager to have a credit card (around here anyway).

i dont. and i probably never will. i don't like america's "buy now, pay later" attitude.

LOL, I've been doing it since before they sold parts on the internet. That's one reason why I (unlike alot of you probably) really like the little mom-and-pop type computer shops. Most of you guys are from the internet age, and have probably never gone into a computer shop more than a time or two, if ever.

yeah. our generation is really lazy. which is a really bad thing =/.

on a brighter note, i guess. i've apparently lost 30 pounds over the past few months. time to go shopping for new cloths haha.

you see this is where i got lost...i thought they knew about the leak. though (after reading that post) they didn't find out until after an evacuation of the building, and ceasing operations.

stephen, don't speak to me like i'm stupid. i know that water and electricity don't mix...

well obviously...but if it was a controllable leak, they wouldn't have to cease operations and take over 5 hours to recover.

the melt down, yeah i figured that out.

Quote
from what i heard, it was def. an electrical power serge that fried some of their on-air equipment, i don't see how a water leak would lead twc to cease operations.

Victor, I'm talking about the big backdrop behind the desk used for EE, YWT, etc. One of the lights behind it that help illuminate it burned out, making the whole right side look dark just as it does when they turn most of the lights off during the lower-rated hours of the day.

Lights continued to burn out tonight as before Abrams & Bettes began, some lights behind the A&B desk burned out, making the background look horribly dark. They spent the first three segments of the show using only the stand up area off to the side and the key wall until they could get the crew in there to fix the lighting. They finally returned to the desk at :20 past.

after affects of the power serge finally hitting them, eh?  :P

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Time Warner Cable adds TWC HD

I would think so.  :sunglasses:

Al may be interested to know about this. IIRC, he lives somewhere in Texas, doesn't he?

yeah, but i live with my grandparents, and they don't believe in "modern technology"  :P. so nope, i'm not interested because i do not have hd. (and probably won't) now as for digital tv, they're gonna be forced no matter what, so whatever haha.

You might have me on that one, but that's it. What about everything else?

It's unbeliveable how NO ONE can offer an explanation for the discrepancy between how they participate here and there.

well i for one haven't been to either sites, nor have i posted on either sites in and over 4 days. fiddler on the roof has just ended and my school work continues to pile up. which keeps me away from the computer, so until i catch up with my work, i won't be very active at twct or twcc.

I stayed in All-Star Music Resort when the choir went back in April. they indeed had a star, but I don't remember the ID.
