Just curious where Jim Cantore is with all this cold weather - not used to not seeing him at the worst place! Hope he is just on vacation Anyone know? Have I missed something else?
-
Shooting something in Canada
-
"@weatherzine Doing a Cantore Story on the Wickaninnish Inn and people that come here to surf and watch storms. Huge surf. Awesome place !!"http://twitter.com/JimCantore
-
He must be shooting new Cantore Stories episodes on location for Summer 2011
-
Just doesn't seem like bad weather without him! Glad to see he is still with TWC I was afraid he was going to follow Alexandra
-
We highly doubt that! Jim isn't going anywhere. He just has so many things to do in terms of TWC.
-
Only way that JC would leave was if he chose to do so on his own accord.
-
as many other people have said Jim is the weather channel if he goes then the weather channel is gone basically
-
Hundreds of thousands to even millions of people watch TWC just for Jim. If he was gone, the ratings would plummet so much, that TWC would as many ratings as in the early 1980's.

I highly doubt they tune in JUST for him. Thats a little extreme saying that

One of my favorite quotes came from an MSNBC host (pre-TWC purchase) that said "When Jim Cantore comes to your town, pack up the stationwagon and get the hell out!"

That is the most funniest quote ever.
FYI, you JC fans won't be able to see him on air for much longer. Due to that one storm in the east, he will doing live reports much longer.

Ana, not sure I understand your post. He's NOT going to be on air for much longer but WILL be doing live reports for longer? :dunno:

Zach is correct, sorry for the misunderstanding (multitasking at the time). I paraphrased Jim's facebook post.
GLAD I packed for 7 days instead of 3. Then this storm could head up the coast RT @wxchannel: French toast alert (break & milk) for the South! We are watching for the potential of a winter storm Sun-Mon. Details: http://wxch.nl/iiXgma (http://wxch.nl/iiXgma)

He'll never be in the Atlanta studios, ever again?

What makes you think that?

Nononononononononoono it's NOT THAT. (Dang, guys stop exaggerating. >_>).
Jim is gonna stay out longer because of the huge east coast storms. He will come back when all that is set and done.
I never said he was leaving the network AT ALL.
-
Is Jim going to head somewhere to the South (possibly even back to Atlanta) to cover the winter storm the region will be getting this weekend, or stay in NYC?

I think he might be staying up there, but I could be wrong. Speaking of that, who are they going to be getting to do field reports in the SE for this winterstorm?

They'll probably have Julie Martin somewhere. As far as Atlanta, they could have Morrow, Sidel, or even Chris Warren out there on Sunday.

According to Jim (no tv show pun intended)
on Twitter: Heading back to Atlanta tomorrow to prepare for southern snow/ice coverage
-
Stephanie Abrams posted on Facebook that she will be in Atlants from 6AM-Noon EST covering the snowstorm.
-
Get the hell out of Atlanta everyone! Jim Cantore's coming back! :rofl2:
