He appeared a few nights a week in the on-air apprenticeship program back in 1998 or so.

I remember seeing him on, too back around 1998 or so, like Nick said. I knew he was with the radio network. He was on real late at night.

I don't know....1998 to me doesn't sound like it is back far enough.  I thought he was on the old set before the big move around '97.
I have always thought he was a neat guy.

Mr. Lawrimore seems to have been at it for a long time, long before he came to the Weather Channel. I was working as a local newspaper reporter in his hometown in the mid '80s, and his mother called me to suggest that we do an article about him. He used to put on a suit and do the weather forecast for his family every evening, using his computer; his brother helped him with the graphics. The whole family was just charming, and Scott was great, with remarkable presence for a young teenager. I was delighted to see him on the Weather Channel not long ago. Some people just know early on what they want to do with their lives!
