What's your source? I won't believe it unless it's written somewhere, or if I see it myself.

I agree, especially from someone who just registered.

lol...

You guys are harsh.

How about this for a source, I set her active directory account up and also her email on her iPhone Wednesday. She is indeed back here at TWC.

We chatted for a bit about the Sarychev Peak Volcano from 2009 and the amazing shots of it from the ISS.

Heard it here first. Just watch and we shall see.

...oh Julie Martin is also freelancing with TWC too along with the local TV gig.

bai!

Okay, then "we shall see."

By the way, I hope I'm not prying too much, but would she be full time or another freelance fill-in person?

It looks like he's a legit TWC employee. All it took was a quick Twitter search.

I didn't mean to be harsh at all, if that's how it came out :hmm: it's just that we've had past incidents here on this very forum where members have joined us claiming that OCMs were back, just merely for attention and they couldn't provide a source when asked. It was just an instinct, and nothing more based on past occurrences. I don't follow TWC much anymore like I did 5-6 years ago, so I'm not sure who's who behind the scene these days. :P I saw your twitter account (as Trevor pointed out above), and I saw behind-the-scene pictures from TWC. Pretty neat.

Once again, I do apologize for my misunderstanding.

What is going on at TWC these days? They keep bringing in new (or bringing back) OCMs, while they demote current employees like Kelly and Nick. Why bring in more OCMs if they're not adding more live programming? It seems that they're shifting to a strategy of having a whole bunch of part time OCMs who float to different shows randomly, and only have a few full time people. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

But... It's nice to see Samantha back.

That seems to be the way the business world is operating these days.  Fewer full-time employees and more part-time employees means greater flexibility in scheduling (meaning fewer people working fewer hours but potentially doing more work), less benefits, less payroll.  In other words, it saves money for the employers but it's downright rotten for the employees.

Samantha is also working at 11-Alive in Atlanta.

It appears she'll be pulling double duty today, and appearing on TWC too.

Congrats to Sam! I knew there was a reason she was showing up a lot filling in for the Chief Chris Holcomb the past month or so. I'm glad to hear I'll get to see her a lot more often. She, along with Julie Martin are a great addition to their weather team. :)
