According to FTVLive, former WPLG meteorologist Michael Smith is joining TWC next week as it's newest meteorologist.

That's awesome for Michael Smith that he will be back home in ATL, i wonder what show he will debut on?

Explain to me why Jeff, Adam and Heather had to go only to hire as part time and full time OCMs Kyla Grogan, Reynolds Wolf and Alexandra Wilson and  Michael Smith?

The only thing i could think of is TWC is strapped of cash in basically every department just like the Music/LF side.

Well I thought I read somewhere that their ratings have been falling too. Low ratings = low revenue.

One word: money. ;)  Lay off the veteran OCMs who make a ton of money and bring in new ones that they can pay for much less.

He did a full shift on Day Planner this week and the other days doing the Weekend and 7-Day Forecasts.
Tonight he's doing the 7pm WCL with Kim.

Has Michael done any shifts recently? Unless I missed him doing updates during taped programming he has not been on for a couple of weeks.

I would think he's doing weekends for now (Sunrise Weather, Early Weekend View)

Unless I missed a shift I don't believe Michael has been on TWC in September and August.
In the recent weeks weekday OCM's have been subbing on the weekends when they could have used Michael.
