Where's Mark been? I haven't seen him on in a long time. Granted, I don't watch on the weekends very often, so if that's when he's on, then that's why i haven't seen him.
-
He's the normal host of Weekend Outlook. I have a tape of him on WO that I taped a couple of weeks ago.
-
It really sucks that he's on weekends now. Do you know if he is ever a fill in during the week?

I'm not sure, but I do know weekend OCMs occasionally fill in on weekdays if needed.
-
Whenever i see him, he always looks like hes been on drugs :o :(

He probably looks that way since the OCMs that do the early morning programs have to get to TWC pretty early. From what I heard OCMs that do First Outlook (and probably Weekend Outlook as well) have to get there by 1 AM to prepare for the show!

Wow, thats early! In that case, I'm not surprised then.
-
Yeah no wonder he looks that way. He's probably had a few dozen cups of coffe by the time we see him. :rofl2:

I wouldnt like getting there at 1 AM to OCM

If I had to be at work that early, I'd probably have to have more. :D

Heck, I would be drinking at least 2 gallons a day! :rofl2:

So Basically, people who work First Outlook are on the graveyard shift, so I guess they knew what they were in for when they chose those hours.
-
Nobody said otherwise did they?
-
No. Basically I'm saying they're probably used to it, as everyone else is saying
-
I see. It sounded like you were saying something else.
-
I know this thread is "dead", but rather than starting a new thread, can anyone tell me if Mark is still around now? I have not seen him on at all these days and I watch it at various times. Has he flown out ?

He appears on Weekend Outlook on Saturdays and Sundays from 5 AM ET to 7 AM ET.

Thanks for that info! No wonder I have not seen him... I am still normally sawing logs at those hours.
-
Yeah they put him in a stupid timeslot in my opinion. <_<

I agree, because I always enjoyed his broadcasts. He has a good sense of humor as well. Four hours per week is not alot of work... I wonder if he does something else at TWC at other times, or works elsewhere?

I'm pretty sure he's a Senior Meteorologist, so yes I would think he does have other duties besides his on air time.
-
It's not even four hours a week. Sunday is his only normal day. He only works Saturday if it's an absolute emergency; otherwise Ray Stagich and Alex Wallace handle Saturday.
-
When did Mark started working only part-time on Sundays? I have an early 2006 recording of Mark on a Saturday morning so it had to be pretty recent.
-
It was sometime in mid-to-late 2007, I think.
-
Another "When did Mark" question: When did Mark move to the early morning morning shift on weekends? I have a video of him from July 2006 and he was working Day Planner on a Friday afternoon.

In 2005, when Eboni moved from EEWC to WO.

So the WO team worked Day Planner on Fridays (and Thursdays?) in 2006? Because in that video I had, Mark and Eboni were working together.

Mark Mancuso's relative disappearance is a big loss for TWC. He was never flashy, but always solid, and, like Rich Johnson, has a knack for giving you just enough science without being overwhelming.
I used to love to watch him Thur-Fri on Weather Ctr (usually paired with Kristin Dodd - if no fill-ins were needed) and on the weekends.
The best, though, was when he'd fill in for Kelly Cass on Day Planner on Thur-Fri. TWC had Kristin Dodd and Eboni Deon available as a female fill in on those days, but they'd usually pair Mark with Bill Keneely. Those two would put on a clinic on how to be a professional OCM. They were amazing together - two solid veterans, showing the newbies how to get it done. I remember watching them together in 05 or 06, just as TWC was hiring some pretty piss poor new talent and giving them prime slots (Kevin Robinson and Betty Davis, who both are still mediocre) or promoting other newer but not very good talent (see: Alexandra Steele) to prime-time. As I watched Mark and Bill work their shift together, I couldn't help but wonder why TWC didn't have them in better time slots.
-
I wholeheartedly agree with everything KMan said.
Mark Mancuso and Bill Keneely were awesome together.
I really miss the old OCMs. Most of the more recent hirings leave me cold.
I also don't get the female OCMs choice of attire. Kelly Cass is the worst. Her clothes are always so tight and pulling at the seams...not professional at all. The women keep trying to go for that sexy look and I don't think their way of dressing is professional at all.
Sorry to get OT.

I think Mark just said that he had raspberry and chocolate chip ice cream yesterday... interesting combination there.

I wonder if the ice cream caused him to pull the earpiece out of his ear at the beginning of the 5 AM ET hour? :rofl2:

Attached is the ice cream discussion. BTW, did Mark mention he was in Ohio on Saturday?
