Jen Carfagno - Your First Outlook co-anchor

I think we can say it safely now, Jen Carfagno has finally gotten an anchor spot after over 7 years on TWC. Jeff Morrow also made a surprise mid-week return to the show, revealing that there will be no separate Travel Analyst; Jen will continue with those duties, as well.

IMO, only having two OCMs on FO kind of hurts the format of the show. The show had a "bigger" feel to it with a team of three. Now with two anchors, it seems like just another show in many aspects, although it does still retain its special, unique features.

Congratulations to Jen, she for sure deserves the spot.  I agree with you, Steve.  There should be a travel analyst, and I am thinking Cheryl would have done a great job doing just that.

I agree.  It does really affect the format of the show.  Although to be honest, I don't watch this show 99.9% of the time because of the schedule, but I'm sure those that watch it each morning will miss the old format.

I think all morning shows should have three anchors........Day Planner?

I'm not saying this because I think Jen is a major league hottie, but I agree she deserves the new job
at The Weather Channel. Prior to the schedule change, she wasn't on much of late.

No doubt in my mind that besides being someone I can enjoy listening to her describe the latest weather
very articulately and doesn't annoy viewers without any gimmicks or schticks, Jen should be able to add to
the quality of the show. I agree it is a shame that there is no travel analyst. I really liked that element of the show.
But, they better make up for it somehow.

The outfit she's wearing this morning has me suspicious. Then again, she may not have shed all her weight yet from her pregnancy from last year, who knows.

I go back and fourth with her haha .  I thought she was pregnant a couple months after her coming back from maternity leave..so IDK.  could be.

I also keep going back and fourth with Betty Davis too..  But she's just got a cute little gut I think

I recorded all 3 hours of FO this morning because I've yet to see it in HD. I noticed two things...

1) they don't to a tease before the open.. why? The open seems to rushed then...
2) Jen doesn't seem as "lively" as she was when she was exclusive to the travel desk. Maybe it was just this morning, IDK. Anyone else pick up on this?

Did you check all three hours? I don't think they do a tease before the opener during the 4AM hour since that hour is mastered.

The only reason why I even thought of bringing the question up is that I saw her in full view at the projection wall during First Outlook and I could not help but wonder.

I normally don't want to jump the gun and start suspecting the OCMs for pregnancy every time I don't see flat abs, ya know?

From what I understand, that concept for First Outlook is discontinued..

Paul- you might be right, as I believe that you were the first to speculate her last baby bump

In response to what you said Tyler: Jen has NEVER seemed lively to me whatsoever, she seems very quiet, calm, laid-back, and she sometimes seems as if she doesn't enjoy her job. I am convinced the only reason TWC is holding on to her and promoting her is because she is one of the cutest (if not the most) anchors on TWC these days.
