This morning at the end of First Outlook, Jeff Morrow announced that today was his last day on the show and that he'll be moving to a "later time." Figures, this was the only show left that hasn't had any OCM pairing changes since before TWC was sold to NBC. :hmm:

This means someone else may be moving... Also, I guess this means Jen Carfagno and Scott Williams are the new First Outlook anchor team.

more changes are on the way, idk if more OCMs will be shuffled around again, but rumor has it TWC is due for a graphics overhaul sometime in november.

Jeff and Jen made a great team :yes: I hardly ever have a chance to watch First Outlook. I would love to see Jeff and Viv back together again. But, I actually ejoy watching Vivian and Nick on PM Edition.
Any idea what shift Jeff will get?

I'm Thinking Nick and Jeff Are Switching shifts, i would love to see Nick on FO it will make my mornings!

I guess I am one who likes the pairing of Jeff and Jen on FO. I do not at all care for Nick Walker, and imo, he doesn't belong in the morning on TWC at all.

With the addition of WUWA, FO was hardly a show anymore (except for the small, small percent of east coast viewers who are up during the 4-6am time frame). To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me one bit it FO went down to a one-anchor show.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Nick in the morning, though I never have seen him in the mornings before (never watched FO before 2009). Nick and Jen will also be a great team. IMO.
If Jeff goes back to afternoons, it's more likely that we would see Jeff and Vivian working together again. Ahh, good times in high school.

On the weather.com bio pages, it says on Scott Williams bio that he'll now be hosting First Outlook and on Jeff Morrow's bio it says he'll be hosting Your Weather Today.

that probably means that Steph is now permanent to NYC <_<

Woah. Probably not - maybe he's a travel analyst? I don't think TWC would have two male anchors on a regular basis.

I'm hoping they mean Jeff will be a third host, because spliting up Stpehanie and Mike wouldn't make any sense now that they branded their name onto YWT, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if they did something stupid like that.

Graphics overhaul will likely be delayed due to a few things (like the HD STAR launch delayed yet again).
But concerning the graphics... I've noticed a a trend in NBC graphics. Recently, MSNBC debuted a new look with their HD launch, and within just this past week, the TODAY show received (a much needed) change, and the graphics are stunningly similar. Makes me wonder if similar graphics will be coming to TWC (I sure wouldn't mind).

No - not direct graphic changes to the Istar.

I really do like Today's gfx package, MSNBC's - not so much.
I would assume the holdup on the HD STAR is difficulty rendering 1080i graphics?

I agree with Tavores here. Jeff could be 3rd host on YWT, making the show a bit similar to Weather Center w/ Cantore & Steele.

Maybe Jeff will be that In the Weather, In the News person, like he's done a few times already.

Not to be rude about Jeff, but I don't think he's a very good choice for a third person on YWT. :no: He just doesn't seem to "fit" in with Steph and Mike IMO. I could be completely wrong though...I can't even begin to think of the last time I watched him since I don't watch FO.

This will likely never happen, but is it at all possible that FO will be discontinued in the near future? :dunno: Since TWC seems to be getting rid of a lot of live coverage (like during the day and on weekends) and since WUWA is a big "wake-up" morning show, I wouldn't even be surprised if FO gets replaced with yet more long-form. :thumbdown: Although I certainly don't want it, could this be the case? :thinking:

Moving Jeff to YWT is just stupid to me. Jeff is a seasoned OCM and deserves more than a couple 4min segments per show while the "new guy" gets to anchor a show. If anything it should be Scott who moved to YWT. Jeff and Jen were a fantastic team. Another great move by TWC.... :thumbdown:

Think people are reading into that statement too much. I wouldn't go as far as to say a relaunch.

Yeah i was thinking that there wouldnt be a complete relaunch at least until 2010 or 2011.. In 1999 The Weather Channel Did Change There Title Bars To What The XL v2 had even 2 years before the offical live by it era.

He only appears on one segment every half hour. Yesterday when I watched, he was doing an update of (what was) Fred.

Thats true. I will miss the duo of Jeff and Jen, but then again it gives me an opportunity to see Jeff later in the day which makes me happy because he's one of my favorite OCMS
