I just read on another forum that Heather posted a message on her twitter page that she'll be moving to weekends 11-2 and Mon-Wed 10-2. Nicole will replace her on Your Weather Today.

Basically she goes from the Mon-Fri shift to the Sat-Wed shift.

Now this is ridiculous. YWT without Marshall is one thing... YWT without Heather AND Marshall is just not YWT. And Nichole as her replacement? YUCK. :footinmouth:

I don't see why she would be. The decision wasn't Nicole's, it was management that moved Heather's time slot.

Heather's been in the 7am timeslot for 10 years now... I guess TWC wants to see where else she can fit in well.

I totally agree with you. I loved them together in the morning; a cup of coffee, my newspaper and Marshall and Heather. It was the perfect way to start the day. I was very disappointed when Marshall retired and now with Heather leaving, I will put TWC on just to get my local forecast and then switch to one of the network morning shows. NBC is ruining TWC.

I don't know what will happen to YWT. Will it be a 2-OCM show? Will it be Nicole and Bill/Kevin that will run the show?

I would assume it's her as TWCi and abramsandbettes are both following her... that's my basis.

Darn you NBC for ruining everything! The blood (ocm shortage) is draining so fast it's becoming too ridiculous. They shouldn't move Heather from the show she's been on since it's debut, it wouldn't be YWT, it would be "That weather morning show that has Nicole on it." :thumbdown:

Nicole Mitchell: <_< :censored: :thumbdown: :thumbdown: :thumbdown: Nicole is the WORST TWC OCM's I've ever see. Nicole is one the three OCM's that I hate the most. The other two that I hate are Betty and Sam. Plus, Your Weather Today is the only show that she had hosted. That's why I perfer Heather and Marshall on YWT.
And the YWT hasn't been that Good since Nicole replaced Heather. It is now my LEAST favorite TWC show from this day. F*** you, Nicole and the Blue Bar of Doom. :angry:

And yeah, Marshall and Heather were key icons for YWT. It's not fair that it will be different now.

Now, major things, like layoffs, those might have some involvement on NBC's part, but programming is TWC's decision alone I'm pretty sure.

sorry, I know they don't control the fine workings, its just that it seems that all these negative changes have happened since NBC took over

Yes and no.
Twitter is an original social networking site that came about a few years ago and has slowly grown. The idea is that instead of somebody making one long blog post, people can make short messages (under 140 characters) on the go as they think or do things. You can view and comment on what other people are doing. It takes some dedication. Some people really love it and others just cant get into it.

Same. I really hadn't noticed that she hadn't been on for a while until I read this, but now that I have I realized it. Glad to hear she hasn't gotten the boot as well. :happy:

Here is the message from Heather on her TWC Facebook page from Friday,
TWC is going to move some things around in their schedule to bring viewers some new programming. Starting Monday Nick and Vivian will keep you informed on Day Planner from 11-2 ET. Beginning April 14 I will cover the weekends between 11-2 ET and again from 4-5 pm ET. I will be working with Todd. I hope you'll join us!

Yes the Weather Ready segment the did the intro to was taped. On Tuesday she did the Weather Headlines segment which a live read.

It's going to be interesting to see her new move that just so happens to be on a day where we could see a major severe weather outbreak. plus, they're extending coverage all day, so she'll be working very hard too.
