Title: Dr. Karen Kosiba - Severe Weather Expert

I can't find any articles or anything about her joining TWC, but I just caught a segment with her at the Expert Desk at :20 past this hour, and Twitter indicates that she was on yesterday, as well.

Googling her name turns up a bunch of results about her being a field researcher involved in chasing tornadoes. Does anybody know if this is just a guest appearance on TWC, or has she given up doing field research in favor of having a permanent role at TWC's Expert Desk?

According to Greg Forbes, she is on just for the spring.

I like her, she looks really uncomfortable though.  Dave was having to carry the segment today.

Besides at the expert desk on WCL, I have seen her on a couple episodes of Strangest Weather On Earth (I watch TWC long form).

Well, I think we got our answer as to why she's here.  I'm guessing she'll take Dr. Forbes' place while he is on leave.
