now that guy is weird but he does make the weather 'FUN'.

He not like some other meteorologists, who just do the weather and be over with it in a jippy.

I think Dave is going to be just fine. I don't know about you guys, but I haven't picked up on any signs that he's not doing well. He looks good, he sounds good, etc.

Dave is filling in on Weekend Now today, he's he's really been "being Dave" this past hour. At :10, he was covering the cold air and lake effect snow coming into the midwest, so he went into a whole thing teasing us with stuff like, "Oh, you're in Chicago? Well, you're going to wake up tomorrow with temps in the 50s, and you'll be like, 'Oh, Dave, what are ya talkin' about? It's 50 degrees!' Well, just you wait, by Sunday night and Monday, ho ho ho! It's going to be cooold! And east of the lakes, it's going to be snowin'! Let's look at those temps! Let's look at em' Come on! YES! That's what I'm talkin' about! What do ya think of them apples, Kim?"
Then during the Lifestyles introduction and the toss to break afterward, he kept not wanting to shut up because he was on such a role. They switched to the ceiling camera going to break, so Dave waved goodbye to us while reminding us that he's Dave Schwartz along with Kim Perez, and they'll be back right after this!
During the :20 segment, Dave started dancing to the production music while going to break. :P

Out of all of his recent partners, Dave always seems to be most comfortable when working with Kim or Vivian.

Kristina is short, that's why Dave looks big. But Dave isn't terribly tall either. He's about average.

OMG, I know where Dave Schwartz is working now, he stayed in Atlanta and is working at our CBS local news affiliate WGCL-TV, I just saw him doing a promo for them, he's going to be on this afternoon at 4pm. :o :faint: Here's the forecast he did earlier this afternoon.

Oh wow...at least you are still able to see Dave again but not on TWC. That's good to hear he finally settled in!

I'm afraid he is :hmm: , before he came there they already had 4 ocms there, but one of those 4 I consider a freelancer, because he's hardly ever there.

It appears as though Dave is indeed being left to do weather webcasts since I have yet to see him on air. If I do, I'll record a clip of him.

Yes. It was actually like that toward the end of his tenure at The Weather Channel. If you remember, a few years back (not sure how long ago), Dave had not been seen on the Weather Channel for a while, and it was speculated that he was batteling cancer (not positive if it was ever confirmed though)

Actually, I knew he was going to go to a local news station because a lot of OCMs do that after they get laid off somwhere.

I checked wikipedia this week (yeah I know, not all that reliable) and it said that Dave is a fill-in on CBSAtlanta, I also found out that they hired a new OCM there named Cris Martinez. All I was thinking was WTH did they hire another OCM to work weekends and WTF didn't they give that weekend job to Dave? :angry: I'm not too surprised, they're the lowest rated local news station out of all 4 of them and they can't seem to keep anyone around very long I always see someone new on there, they are just as bad as our NBC affiliate 11alive. :itsok:

When I tweeted to TWC's Kelly Cass around the summer about Kristina Abernathy's absence, she said:
She had a beautiful baby girl!
Which may explain the kind of pregnancy-like shirts she had on during the final months.
