Title: Any bets on when Cantore is fired?

Since a lot of people are getting fired/laidoff lately, I dedided to make this thread for some of us to predict when Jim Cantore, the most respected and popular meterologist on the channel will get the boot or retire. There is that possibility late in the decade, probably from around 2018-2025 he'll be finished. Is it possible TWC will fire him? What do you guys think?

Impossible. Jim Cantore can't be fired. If he did, then TWC would never be the same anymore. He's like an icon.

I HIGHLY doubt anyone here would want Jim to be fired. What were you thinking?

Sorry but as impossible as it seems, there will be a time when he will be gone. I'm guessing sometime around from as early as 2020 to probably 2035. I'll try to get a viewer poll up when I get the chance.

Probably not soon, but the day will come. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true.

Nobody is saying he won't leave at some point, but most likely it will be on his own terms as in retiring, not because he was fired. :no:

I say 90% retirement. But there is that slight chance he could be fired. Unlikely, but possible.

I'm going to be as nice as I possibly can here, but would people please, please STOP talking about Cantore being laid off or fired. I understand that layoffs are happening a lot lately, but Jim is an extremely popular face of TWC, maybe even THE face of TWC. I don't think he will ever be fired. :hammer: Now I could be completely wrong, but that's just what I think. He's got his own show. He gets really excited about weather like TWC likes to see in OCMs. He's always traveling places to do field reports. I don't think we'll see Jim leave TWC until he retires. ;)
