Kim better watch out, she could be next... :fear:
Id say Vivian is on higher stake :( cuz Kim had her proposal on air and Vivian has not been in any form of advertising nor specials on TWC  :cry3:

No offense, but what does her on air proposal have to do with her chances of not having her contract renewed? Both of them would be at the same risk. I only said Kim as a joke because she had blond hair up until the last year and half.
Didnt understand the topic amongst discussion at first. my bad  :innocent:

The Weather Channel has developed an MTV mentality... and it is sickening.  Youth and appearance have taken precedence over knowledge of weather and a pleasant television manner.

Just for the record, Alexandra's bio page is still available on the TWC website:

Any News Anchor, Meteorologist, Sports Person, etc... should NOT be discriminated against due to their sex appeal, but rather on their knowledge and experience on the subject. There probably are some extremely knowledgable women with a meteorology degree that are just not getting hired because they don't have adaquate "boobs".

It's probably gonna be a while before they pull her bio down. Betty Davis has been gone for almost 3 months and I noticed her bio was still up last week.

I am deeply upset, but not surprised that Alex was let go. Even though I haven't watched Twc outside of LOT8's for a good while now, I would ocassionaly see Alex on PM Edition. The fact that she wasn't seen on the network and the news that a new pair would host PM Edition aroused     my suspicion  that she was let go. I wish the best of luck for Alex as her personality was one that could not be seen anywhere else on TWC (always smiling, positive, upbeat, ready to engage the viewer). This news just bites the dust and now I really don't know how Tiffany will react to this because Alex was th lifeblood of TWC for her. :(

Unfortunately, I had a feeling that she was let go when Crystal showed up on Weather Center. That's too bad--I really liked her, and many of you guys did too. As long as she can find work somewhere else--which I'm almost certain she will--that's all that really matters. I'll miss her though.

Clearly it was official when she started working. I'm afraid you were right.

The rate of OCM layoffs is getting to be real annoying, especially when some get a formal "goodbye" while others just tend to disappear. <_<

We'll miss you Alex!

I'm sorry to see her go, and I hope she does well in a new job.  Sadly, it's life these days in broadcasting Meteorology.  It really is that unstable, and that's why I was told to avoid it.

how much do you wanna bet that Crystal Egger is her replacement. This latest lay off has been in the works...again, another reason why my time as watching TWC has been radically reduced.

Crystal Egger clearly has replaced Alex

I think that's the case, Al. ;)

But still so sad. :(

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!  :cry3:

:censored: this crap,I knew there was a reason I haven't been watching TWC much anymore. They really aren't what they used to be. Alexandra Steele was my favorite OCM. I remember the days of staying up half the night watching her on Evening Edition. She will be deeply missed.

Bye,TWC! I will now watch my local news and go online for my weather reports.

Just as I never want to be in broadcasting. They exaggerate everything...and I'd never do that. I'd rather be in an off-camera position and definitely not be at TWC.
