Alexandra Steele No Longer with TWC

I have it on good authority from sources at The Weather Channel that Alexandra Steele is no longer appearing on The Weather Channel. Very little information is being released internally but it appears legal action is likely by both parties.

I once told someone on this forum that I disagreed that Alex was likely laid off. I was wrong, therefore I take it back.

This is indeed devastating. I know many of you guys are huge fans of Alexandra, including Victor and Tiffany. She was also one of my favorites. I wish her all the best in what comes to her.

I bet you that internally, the whole "Cantore and Steele" thing (which I loved btw) was one of those "last chance" things and did the classic "not renewing the contract" deals.

You're waisting your time!  How many times does it have to be said;  They are gone for good.  No amount of e-mails complaining about TWC changing in general is not going to change a thing. 

I agree with Jesse, it seems the network wants the blondes with a body, or at least a younger croud.  While I have no problem with that (as long as they know their weather), it's sad to see these knowledgable, personable meteorologists leave the network.  While I was not a fan of Alexandra, at all, it is still sad to see her 'let go,' I don't wish that upon anyone.

I really don't think we should speculate who's next to go.   In some way, I think that is disrespectful to that OCM.

No offense, but what does her on air proposal have to do with her chances of not having her contract renewed? Both of them would be at the same risk. I only said Kim as a joke because she had blond hair up until the last year and half.
