My brother just got back from a trip from Portland, OR and while stopping at The Dalles briefly on his way home, he said he saw an XL.

Okay, so I didn't see it myself, but it counts, right??

(2000) WeatherScan Satellite Feed
So you had the satellite feed too? Now I wonder if I had it too for a short time before my Weatherscan XL debuted, which was sometime in early 2001 (or perhaps late 2000). I probably did, but just didn't know about it (I came across Weatherscan Local by sheer luck when I was flipping channels, I wasn't notified about it).

My brother just got back from a trip from Portland, OR and while stopping at The Dalles briefly on his way home, he said he saw an XL.
I swore I saw an XL LDL somewhere around the net that said The Dalles on it. I'll see if I can find it..

Haven't updated this in awhile. I went to see the Belmar intellistar again last August, and then the DuBois area XL after that. I've also seen the Burlington and Camden units briefly over the past few months.

Minneapolis still has the XL? O_o

They do, but I don't have access to it anymore. We have Digital Starter, which doesn't include Weatherscan, so they removed it from out lineup. If we were to upgrade to one of the higher packages, we'd get it back.

I meant within the United States.  I've seen that picture on Wikipedia already.  I have seen French used on a Star when The Weather Network in Canada still used Weatherstars.

The WeatherStar XL I saw until January 5th, 2006 and it was the (Belleville Area)
Belleville, IL? Last time I was down there (Vandalia), there was a 4000 running, which was 2008 I believe. Belleville was the reporting station, and I believe Charter was the carrier (that or Mediacom).

Just last week I saw a WeatherStar XL out of Lapeer, MI. STAR ID is 1297, observation site is Flint. This STAR is my Monroe Charter Communications backup STAR.

On Friday, I saw the IS2 in action. Believe it or not, TWC's HD feed was on a standard channel (95) on Charter Communications.

IS2 #028339 (Serving Fort Worth)

While on vacation in Kerrville, TX, I saw an IS2Jr. Unit. I'm not sure what provider it was on.
