Vocal tunes thread
« on: July 24, 2007, 05:45:36 PM »
Share your thoughts and reactions towards the vocal tunes played on TWC's 25 anniversary. I know it's a bit too late but a lot of people have mixed feelings about the tunes played. I personally don't mind that much of the vocal tunes as long as they play the clean version of Glamorous by Fergie! :rofl2:

Hated it. The only vocal song that I thought was remotely acceptable for local forecast music was "Porcelain" by Moby.

I agree with Derek and Stephen. What a terrible thing to do to the LF.  :censored:

I hated the vocal tunes. None of the songs were good. Primetime has my most favorite songs and to put vocal tunes in it gives me the heebie jeebies! My poor lf would've been killed if the songs were to stay for another night. :censored: :censored: :censored:

I hope my first post in this thread was not misinterpreted. I hated the vocal music on TWC with a passion, and it should never happen again. Vocal tunes do not belong on the local forecast. I was just mentioning Moby's "Porcelain" because TWC had used other Moby songs in the past and the song is fairly decent, but I'd never want to hear it in a local forecast again.

Your like Gil. Your opinion did a complete flip. You started the thread by saying you didn't mind the vocal tunes too much, and in this post you say you absolutley hated them!

I really like Porcelain too Billy. In fac, I have liked it since I saw the video for it on VH1 back in the early 00's. But like you said, not a song I'd like to see on TWC again.

I thought it was kind of interesting to hear about it (Never caught a LF like this) but I'm kinda glad to know that the LF is back to normal..

I have no use for lyrics in the LF either. That was a "part" of my "rebellion" when i was 13... my parents (now estranged) were listening to the vocal Pop Culture/Latin/Puerto Rican music and I turned my back on that when I took notice of the music on the LF's.

Less than 3-4% of my music collection has lyrics

I actually have a fairly large collection of lyrical music, but none of it would I want to hear on the LF. IMO, that kind of music just is not made for that setting.

Well I said I didn't mind that much of the vocal tunes. It;s just that who cares about the lyrics when hearing them on the lf.

I ve been different like that since i was 13....almost everytime i listen to my music i think of the LF frame sequence. Cant picture doing it w/ vocal music, very tacky IMO...
