Just wanted to let you guys know that I just received an e-mail from a Jimmy Ruska, who identified one of our unknown clips on the Unknown songs page. The clip he ID'd was the Nov 2006 Primetime clip. He says it is called Too Much Traffic, and was done by Steve Hurst.
Wait...I just realized something...wasn't Steve the former music guy at TWC? :o

Wow I'm so glad it's identified!! So I guess it's not on itunes. :(

:o
I saw a video Chazz had on TWC adveritising the Smooth Jazz collection, and I think that name was mentioned.
-
Yep, Steve Hurst is the name of the former music programmer at TWC. I never realized that he made music, too.

Wow, no way!!!!! :wow: :wow:
Can you ask Jimmy if there's any way we could purchase the song?
Oh, could you also ask if he could ID any of the April songs on that page as well?

I sure can Derek. I'll let you know when he responds. :cool3:
I didn't realize it either Billy. This is certainly an interesting find.

Thank you so much, Gary!! I'm sure glad I gave you that clip to put on the site, otherwise we might never know the name of this song.
-
Who is Jimmy Ruska?
-
Your very welcome Derek!
I asked him that too (sort of) Vic. I asked him how he knew the identity of the song, so maybe we'll get some light shed on who he is.
-
Maybe he can ID those unknown April 2007 songs too if possible...
-
I asked him. We'll see Vic.

Thank you!
-
You do realize that there are probably 500 "Steve Hurst"'s in the world, right? May not necessarily be the former music programmer.
-
We'll assume it is until we find otherwise.
-
Sorry if I am being a bit impatient but any word yet from JImmy?
-
Nope. I would've let you know if I had heard from him.
-
Hate to bump this, but have you heard anything from Jimmy?
-
Nope. I might try to e-mail him again.
-
Please do!
-
Well, our friend Jimmy has joined here, as you can see, but I'm afraid he'll soon be banned. I think Jimmy is really none other than Felipe. If not, than he's just as weird. He's been trying all day to get me to give him my password, which I obviously wouldn't give to anybody because it gives you complete control of the forum. Furthermore, he's been hounding me for almost a week now about the new design. He wants to see it NOW. I explained to him that it isn't ready yet and would be rolled out as soon as it was, but that isn't good enough for him.
So he'll very soon be banned I have a feeling. And regardless of who he is, I don't think he's anyone with any kind of insider information. How he knew about the Steve Hurst song still remains a mystery. Which reminds me, I've asked him several times who he is, and he won't tell me. So obviously he's got something to hide.

My cousin's name is Jimmy. Maybe it's him.

Is his last name Ruska?

Not that I know of.
-
Jimmy must be a fake. Maybe he's just a bot. I mean he could've came up with the song ID out of his head, do you honestly believe anything someone says from out of nowhere?

I don't have a choice until I know otherwise but to believe it. Such is the nature of the internet. You can never tell who your talking to, so you can't just rule something out.
He's no bot. He's all human, and I have no doubt about that.
-
OH, bummer. F is up to his old tricks again
-
Oh, there's no way that could be the real Jimmy. It's gotta be F posing as him.
It is a little coincidental though that this all happened a couple days after I messaged Jimmy on youtube regarding one of the April 2007 songs.

*hands Gary the banhammer just in case*

:rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:
Yep I do believe its F. I'll be surprised if its not. I don't know anyone else ballsy enough to ask for the admin's password.
-
Just look at the email in his profile. The domain is "ymail". That's a dead giveaway.
-
Yeah that's a dead giveaway for sure.
-
ymail.com is yahoo mail... it's one of their domains...
-
Exactly. Felipe only uses Yahoo mail.
-
Why do people call him F. His name is Felipe. Is that so hard to type?
-
'Cause we hate him so much that we don't want to say his full name.
-
Does anyone here know a Dylan? Maybe from TWCC? I'm asking because "Jimmy" just e-mailed me and said that his real name is Dylan Bennett and he's only pretending to be Jimmy Ruska (which we knew Jimmy Ruska didn't exist).
-
There's a Dylan in TWCC, but his last name isn't Bennett.

Has he ever caused any problems there?
-
Has he ever caused any problems there?
AFAIK, no.

Hmmm...must not be him then.
-
Felipe uses gmail too.
-
The Dylan I think you're talking about (joined TWCC in April 2005) is a good person. I know him from way back.
-
Felipe uses gmail too.
You would know.
-
Well I didn't know he uses Yahoo Mail too. Maybe this Jimmy person is just a little kid who has no idea about what he's talking about?

There is no Jimmy. Read Vic.
-
Felipe has many aliases.

Ok, I just made a HUGE discovery! That song Jimmy identified as "Too Much Traffic" is actually "Loose Canon" by Richard Smith!!!!!!!
There's a sample here: http://music.aol.com/album/from-my-window/223867 (http://music.aol.com/album/from-my-window/223867)
