I emailed him around 11:00 last night, so i certainly didn't expect a reply till today. So far nothing. The information at BMI is USUALLY pretty accurate.
I hope the email is accurate, I got it from BMI.

Yeah. Turns out Wayne has a MySpace:
http://www.myspace.com/waynegee
Still no reply. :( I may have to call...I've emailed COUNTLESS times for that song. Hope you have good luck though.
If you all keep e-mailing him and he's not replying, there's probably a reason for that.Yah. I only sent one email, but if he didnt reply, maybe he doesnt want to give it out.
Oh well. No big deal. 8)Yah, I could always recreate it (for personal use, of course.)
Recreating music isn't too hard, especially considering that many unavailable songs are short. (At least I think so). For example, "Wait A Minute" by Mark Krurnowski is a little over 2 minutes long. I'm not sure how long Simple Pleasure is, but it couldn't be THAT long.
True, but Still in the Deuce is not unavailable. Just difficult to find. ;)Recreating music isn't too hard, especially considering that many unavailable songs are short. (At least I think so). Not always. Still In The Deuce by Funktelligence is nearly 6 minutes long. So no, not always.
Oh yeah. a lot of the CC Gilmore/Samuel Lincoln stuff is pretty short.Do you know how long Simple Pleasure is?
Nope, no reply from Wayne. :(Ah darn! >_<
Oh well. Maybe thee-mail address is outdated or something? :-\Yah, thats what i was thinking
I suppose the only way to get it now is to license it off of BMI, or wait until Kyle plays it on his weather channel.Yah. I wonder how thats coming along,
My guess is slowly. I don't mean to sound nasty, but for whatever reason Kyle gets things done very slowly. I noticed this when I was running everyhting off his server. Issues were always addressed very slowly. I don't know if its because he's a procrastinator, or just busy. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though, and go with just busy.I think it's because he's busy.
Yah, i mean, he's got a job and everything.Without that job, he wouldn't be able to license any of the music.
You argue about something, and then say you realize what I said. :rolleyes:Never once did i argue with you in this thread.
He is on ASCAP, but "Miss Libby" isn't on his list of works. :(You argue about something, and then say you realize what I said. :rolleyes:Never once did i argue with you in this thread.
As for BMI, not all musicians register with BMI. some may register with ASCAP, or not register at all.
Could it be under a different name?He is on ASCAP, but "Miss Libby" isn't on his list of works. :(You argue about something, and then say you realize what I said. :rolleyes:Never once did i argue with you in this thread.

Most likely. But I have absolutely no idea which one.Could it be under a different name?He is on ASCAP, but "Miss Libby" isn't on his list of works. :(You argue about something, and then say you realize what I said. :rolleyes:Never once did i argue with you in this thread.

Actually, Miss Libby is not renamed. All of the works match with the listed on his website. I'm not sure if this is the right Michael Ripoll. I mean none of the music on his site sounds anything like the song I'm looking for.Yah. I wish those places would let you preview the music. Most likely. Maybe the song is not what you think it is. i mean, we cant be for sure if thats the song, seeing as there are no other clips of it.So you're saying that it might be another song on the playlist?

Looking at the playlist, Michael Ripoll is the only possible choice. It's not "After the Sunset" by Vince Madison pr "The High Road" by Fred Gross, because I have those songs. It sounds nothing like Patrick Yandall or Kim Hansen. And I doubt it's Art Ruprecht, since his music is usually very calm. That leaves Michael Ripoll. That sounds pretty logical.
Any luck on that Wayne Gerard song, Gil?
On another note, Jeanne Ricks is now on broadjam! She only has one song on there, but hopefully Simple Pleasure and The River will be put there in the near future. She must've registered this morning, because I didn't see her when I searched last night.
She just may put Simple Pleasure on! I did ask her to put her songs on broadjam after all.Any luck on that Wayne Gerard song, Gil?

Yes, I did see Jeanne on broadjam, which is a start though the only song she has on there is vocal
I always thought, what is the point in registering your songs with companies like BMI or ASCAP? :huh:Because it protects your works, it puts it out there for the world to see, people license it.
I'd love to have that Randall Chowding (sp) song from May/Dec '06. And that song by Yvonne Ayers that's not available on broadjam. Those are definently good songs. I've been trying to shed a little light on Randall Chowning, but so far, nothing much.

Beginning of August! :oMy guess is slowly. I don't mean to sound nasty, but for whatever reason Kyle gets things done very slowly. I noticed this when I was running everyhting off his server. On that note, the channel is coming along quite smoothly.. It is how ever very difficult to make things that are not already copyrighted by TWC or other companies.. I'm so used to making Emulators and such that just have the TWC icons or the TWC logo, I cant do that anymore. Everything has to be original and my own work, I guess its a loop hole that I fell in to.. Also running this by my self is hard, there are so many things to do and its kinda difficult to do them all at once.. Although I am trying to build software that basically has macros that will do it all timed to the second.. So far things are good with that.. Right now I am working on the national (Better known as Satellite) Local Forecast.. It will look very similar to TWC's but will be my own.. I am also in my 'spare' time working on some sort of STAR unit.. I hope to launch things around the beginning of August..
Beginning of August! :oHa - by all means I can delay it then! :P j/k
What luck. I'll be in Colorado Springs for 3 weeks in August! :-\
Watching it is no problem. It's recording the songs thats the problem.Beginning of August! :oHa - by all means I can delay it then! :P j/k

As long as you have internet you will be able to watch the channel.
Watching it is no problem. It's recording the songs thats the problem.Well it shouldn't be a problem, for the first few week right now the playlist consists of nothing but Vince Madison and generic music from a one DeWolfe Music.. (DeWolfe is the composer of the music of "No place on earth has better weather" station ID.)
Oh that's good. I love Vince Madison's music.Watching it is no problem. It's recording the songs thats the problem.Well it shouldn't be a problem, for the first few week right now the playlist consists of nothing but Vince Madison and generic music from a one DeWolfe Music..
I love Vince Madion's music.. I first liked Hill where the lord hides, and then I heard on TWC After Sunset.. awesome songs!I sent the email. Let me know if you don't get it.
And Yep, the emails still the same :)
I wonder if my STAR would work for something like this. Might be able to rig up some sort of feed that would cue a STAR then re-broadcast the STAR'd data.It would take a hell of a lot of programming, I would also problaly have to give you some sort of receiver with a baseband port (Like the one I showed you a few months ago, but I'll talk to you about it on AIM)
(Like the one I showed you a few months ago, but I'll talk to you about it on AIM)Excellent. I'm willing to do anything, no matter what the cost. it just sounds so cool :D
I sent the email. Let me know if you don't get it.I got it, I'm off to my living room to test my LDL a little bit, lol.. I will be on AIM then, so if you want to contact me, ask Gil for my AIM.
Gil, I'll be on AIM shortly.. We will talk then :) I could problaly ship you a receiver for free.. I got a few old ones kicking around..Excellent. Let sjust make this as legal as possible. The feds better not be knocking on my door and arresting me! :D
Have you gotten the BMI licenses yet Kyle?I have the music, however I do not have the licensing for them yet.
I'm pretty sure you can. That is cool! That means he could identify songs for us!
Who's he? Don't ask me b/c I don't know how to license them and my parents are pretty fussy about money. <_<Why Kyle of course!
Oh okay!Who's he? Don't ask me b/c I don't know how to license them and my parents are pretty fussy about money. <_<Why Kyle of course!
Kyle is nice :)Me too. I think it's very kind of him to go out of his way, to play unavailable music.
Full length, remember? What would be the point of using only 2 minutes?Just making sure. :)
That is cool! That means he could identify songs for us!
Also, Me and Kyle are going to see if we can get a couple of WeatherSTAR Jrs to work on Kyle's new feed
I have another question about this. When Kyle will play the music, will it be the full length songs, or just a 2-minute cut?
What would be the point of using only 2 minutes?
Just curious, what are you all requesting to be played?
Does anyone have a link to Kyle's feed?
I don't beleive its up yet.
is the alien somg Miss Libby in his MySpace?I wish. :(
I think the way it works is that artists send their music to TWC before its publicly realeased. In some cases, the music isn't even to be publicly released at all. This may be one of those cases.Miss Libby isn't even in his ASCAP account, so this has to be the case.
This isn't a new practice. Artists have been sending their music to TWC for years. How do you think artists like Chad Edwards, Steven Saltzmen, etc. from the 90's made it to the LF? 8)By sending their music instead of us to TWC :D <_<
Or Andrew Korus, all thoguht his song is on BMI. I wonder why he only has 1 song?
Like Randall Chowning and Justin Hayes?Or Andrew Korus, all thoguht his song is on BMI. I wonder why he only has 1 song?
Yeah he's a bit different. I'm talking about artists who don't have a BMI or anything else. Its like if you were to send some of your music to TWC. You don't have any publicly available music, nor do you have a BMI, but TWC could play your music, and none of us wuld be able to get it becuase your virtually unknown.
I do have a BMI account, but i dont think i activated it. :yes:Or Andrew Korus, all thoguht his song is on BMI. I wonder why he only has 1 song?

So let's say I'm making 6 songs all of 'em in a cd called "Thunder Presents". Twc could play these songs!?They could.
So let's say I'm making 6 songs all of 'em in a cd called "Thunder Presents". Twc could play these songs!?I remember Gil said he was going to compose music for TWC, and keep it unavailable from everyone else.
But the good thing about BMI is that they have to pay you royalties. so if you have a BMI account, you'd make money. But if you didn't, then you'd get nothing.Do they pay each time they play a song from BMI?

LOL! i totally forgot about that! thanks for reminding me! I have composed 3 songs already, but i'm waiting to write more
so i can send it in.
I believe it goes something like that. It depends on licensing i guess. But the good thing about BMI is that they have to pay you royalties. so if you have a BMI account, you'd make money. But if you didn't, then you'd get nothing.Do they pay each time they play a song from BMI?
Correct, Gary.. Its at no expence to me, however I will get dinged on the taxes. (If there are any)
That's nice Gil.Its ok. not all of them are running.
Not really. It's production music, and they are obviously a production music library.Wow! Great discovery Gil! I'm after quite a few CC Gilmore/Samuel Lincoln songs as well.
One weird thing that I noticed out The Passage is that TWC only broadcasted the Right audio channel in Mono. I don't think they did this with most, if not any other songs. Kinda weird. I would kill for that song. :( I wish I could get it.

Actually, I don't know the URL. I was just gonna ask that.Because they carry production music. Not really. It's production music, and they are obviously a production music library.

So then its obvious they carry production music. It is NOT obvious why, and only if you understand Chinese can you interpret that.
What is the URL? Apparently Derek knows it but I don't. Is this some kind of secret again?

Did you find any other rare Sameul Lincoln/CC Gimore songs?Well, by taking an educated guess, probably because its in China.
WHy is the site in chinese?
do you remember the URL for the site....IMed you. :)
do you remember the URL for the site....IMed you. :)
Gil, could you PM me the link as well?do you remember the URL for the site....IMed you. :)
Well some are on BMI :rolleyes:They're all on BMI. But that doesn't mean they're easily available to the general public.
Yeah, thats not even a matter to be concerned with. Its a given that your gonna get the song. :whistling:I no, but i was clearing that up, cuz thersw lots of confusions.

Of no practical importance; irrelevant.
I tried cintacting several artists for the songs on BMI and the BMI person never replied :(Like which artists?
the dictionary definition of moot is:Thanks! Thats my new favorite word!QuoteOf no practical importance; irrelevant.
:sunglasses:
Joe Laskota, Tony Davilio, Kathy Ball, Doug GranvilleEmailing Frank is a waste of time. He never replies. But if you must know his email, it's on the munchkin studios website.
I might email Frank Josephs and give him a clip of a song, maybe he'll be familiar and reply back. Can u PM me his email?
What about Ray? He's Samuel Lincoln?I tried him as well, and got no response.
Does anyone know Kathy Ball's email?Victor, I've answered that question 200 billion times over PM. <_<
I think I know Joe laskota's email. He's part of a band in his myspace. I'll need to contact one of the members first.Who else is gonna know? I only know of one other person who would take time out of their day to search for an unavailable artist.
Derek, it was via PM. Not in public where some people might know. But it's ok. I used to like a lot of unavailable songs years ago like "Im All ABout You" and "16th and Mission" but now I don't care about those songs anymore.
In the studio tour video (http://www.munchkinstudios.com/tourmovie.html) of munchkin studios, you can hear a modified version of the CC Gilmore song playing this month.
Yeah. But Make it Happen is retitled as ??? by IcognitoLucky Star
Seems like everyone has given up on the n/a music threadSeems we've made a good bit of progress with the n/a stuff though! B)
