11:50 AM ET. Mic fail on Weekend Now prompted Trammell and emergency feed.

Wow.  I remember an issue 20 years ago with Bill Keneally and Marc Mancuso with microphones not working... but they just rolled with it and did the best they could until the next commercial break and local forecast.  Back then, there were only two choices for an "emergency feed": a textual Travel Cities Forecast or a black screen, and they certainly tried to avoid that unless there was literally no other choice.

These days, it seems that they're much more comfortable going to an emergency feed, or the number of technical problems has vastly increased. :dunno:

I don't even know why there was an ESF.  The HD and SD LF cued normally, but seconds into the HD LF, Trammell kicked in...while the SD LF kept going strong.

EDIT: I rewound my DVR and found that there was another ESF at 4:58PM ET....the HD LF cued with the NW Forecast....no LDL on the forecast, and Portland was showing the infamous "white box" in place of an icon. Recording coming soon.

I have a nag that this is related to the new squeezeback.

An interruption in long-form prompted the emergency feed for about 30 seconds at 5:46 PM ET.

ESF came back on a couple seconds later in which caused TWC to reload the SS bumper

5:58 PM. Blank screen/no audio for about 10 seconds, then "Jumpin" and the SD Satellite feed comes on. My IntelliStar cued with normal music at 5:59.
