The advisory crawls runs independently and run for a specific amount of time the moment the advisory is issued.
I have actually timed that out; I believe it is ten minutes for all non-urgent/warning crawls, which scroll until the warning is cancelled.

Sat LF at 12:08 AM EDT with LDL, showing nat'l broadcast tabs. Also, the LDL stayed up during commercials.

LDL shut off for a few seconds, then instead of cuing the :57 ID, they cued the LDL, and there is another Sat LF at 12:58 AM ET.
