RIP Dave Brubeck (Take Five)

Notice, jazz pianist Dave Brubeck who played the song "Take Five", heard during Local on the 8s in August 2009, and December 2010 passed away today. RIP Dave (1920-2012)
I'm a weatherman. I love my weather. I would love to go any trips if the weather is nicer.

Wow just one day short of his 92nd birthday. Take Five is one of my all time favorite TWC (and jazz) songs. Rip Mr Brubeck and thank you for contributions to the jazz community. BTW, Take Five was also used on the August/September 2006 playlist and in February 2001

Covers of the song have also been used in the past. One by Free Flight was used in the late 80s and one by Acoustic Alchemy (my favorite version featured on TWC) was used in 1990. My favorite cover is Grover Washington, Jr.

I have the Acoustic Alc. and Free Flight CD's with those covers. I need to get "Time Out" which has the original version which is 5:26 or so (used March 2001 on TWC)

Dave Brubeck is definitely a great jazz legend. He'll surely be missed.
