Removing Vocals
« on: July 26, 2007, 05:09:20 PM »
Can anyone tell me how to remove the vocals from songs? I have a few G Love songs that I've been dying to devocalize.

Ooops. Perhaps I should've posted this in the General Discussion forum.

I wish I knew I how to do that too! There are plenty of songs that I would love to devocalize! Too bad TWC only got the instrumental versions of G Love and Change Your Mind by Steve Glotzer.

I think they devocalized them themselves. If you listen carefully, you can hear the singing in the songs.

Usually Karoke software has this feature. It doesnt get rid of the vocals entirely, but it gets rid of most of it.

You might ask Carlos on TWCC. He once removed the vocals from Steve Glotzers Change Your Mind. He can probably tell you how to do it.

If we knew how to remove vocals from songs, then we would have solved the situation with the 4000 emulator regarding Dan Chandler's narration

You can probably use Sony Sound Forge's Vocal Eraser.

Better yet, found the instrumental versions and downloaded them. you can go to either www.freeplaymusic.com or www.gmpmusic.com and you can find all but 3 of Steve Glotzer's songs ever played on TWC ( all the instrumental versions ) I think Steve Glotzers CD's on gmpmusic are a/v CD's 302, 303, 323  and 341, just released today. 2 tracks, Island Nights and Springtime from 03' are available on www.booseytracks.com
Oh I forgot to mention... 9 track from February and March 2004 are available on www.studiocutz.com look for CD "Light and Bright 04" all themes except the last one were used. I dont think you can listen to the whole song though, and the CD is expensive.. $100  i paid 70 for mine (2 yr ago) still
