That metro map to me is ridiculously zoomed in. I never realized the ATL (I only call it that, instead of Atlanta) had so many suburbs. Since when is there a place called mid-town in Atlanta?

Midtown is in the central part (heart) of Downtown, it's where most businesses and housing is. It would have made more sense to just say "Atlanta" instead of "Midtown" and the map being zoomed in like that I'm not sure why they did that since all of those cities are in or around the perimeter of Atlanta, that configuration hasn't changed much since the early IS days.

Yeah, that was my guess as to midtown. I believe all the metro maps of any Intellistars around the country were zoomed in with the advent of HiRAD back in 2006. I specifically remember my metro map having Lansing, Battle Creek, South Haven, Grand Rapids, and Muskegon on my metro map back in April 2005.

Mine has Phoenix suburbs - and Komatke. (It's on a large reservation that borders Phoenix to the south. Driving along I-10 from the south in, Phoenix SLAMS into you with a freeway and then the start of suburbia.

Interesting collection of maps!  I always disliked seeing icons cut off at the bottom of the screen on the 4000, though.  Surely the programmers could have nudged the city up a little bit to avoid that.
