Satellite LF? Anyone like the current version
« on: January 22, 2010, 12:50:15 PM »
Same as the topic with the IntelliSTAR, but I HATE the Satellite LF now, especially the flavors, like Severe T'Storm forecast first, but I really preferred The cities first and Regional/3Day Forecast, then the Severe T'Storm, then the Past 3 Hrs. And ugh, I really do hate the icons on TWC, looks louzy, especially the background.

My strongest preference of Satellite LF was the one from 2001-2002 with the 4 Day Forecast originally and metro forecast...(regional). I wish the old icons were back. How about for you guys (who have Satellite LF)?

IMO, the Precipitation/Thunderstorm forecast/Severe Warnings pages should be first. It gives a broad overview of the entire nation's weather before the regionalized screens appear. Also, it's a safety issue because if there are severe watches and warnings, they should have the priority of being first.

I'm sure everyone knows I'm with you on the background and icons, Krishnan. I'm just glad the current icons are not animated on the satellite version, as the animations really irritate me the most.

Good at first, but it's mediocre now because it's getting old like the current IntelliSTAR version.

I don't mind the current satellite LF, although I think the radar/satellite composite maps should show at the beginning of the segment like how it was in the late 90's/early 00's.

Yeah, true!!! I also miss the old backgrounds. IIRC, I saw a 4 day forecast when I watched TWC back in 2001. I really miss that.
