I know this has been discussed before, but is anyone getting a clock on the SD LDLs? :dunno: I think a clock may be provided for viewers with a STAR, but there is NO clock whatsoever on the national LDLs. (And I know no clocks are present on HD LDLs, either. :()
Yeah, it has been like that since 4/14. I would expect they'll add a clock for satellite/legacy STAR viewers eventually.

Yeah, I wish they would. I see no reason why a clock is on the STAR LDL and not the national. And, to me, the clock is helpful...especially if TWC is on TV in public places without a nearby clock.

Just one of the many reasons I hate the new LDL system. They got rid of a system that worked for one that does not.

It's a lot easier with the new system though for the sponsor tags. All it requires is changing a graphic, as opposed to sending updates to all the STARs everyday.

Just because it doesn't have a clock on the national ldl and you don't like it doesn't mean its a system that doesn't work. If there is intent to add a clock (and it was clear they didn't intend to add it originally) the national ldl is usually the last thing on the list. Its not that big of a priority either

I knew you were going to argue that. Can't we just for once ignore posts we disagree with? I have my reasons for saying what I do, and there's no need to argue everything I say, especially if it is several posts above.

TWC's public relations have researched that a clock isn't well-requested.

You have your reasons? I am not arguing but stating what I believe. Get over it

Exactly. Its an accessory not a necessity

Then you probably knew I was going to chime in too.

As Mike said, TWC, as do all media outlets, researches extensively before implementing changes on-air. There clearly isn't a want for a clock or I can assure you it would be there. The clock wasn't on domestic IntelliStar's new LDL until it was extensively requested.

Curious does TWC still use Nielson ratings?

I don't see the big deal of a clock on the LDL anyways. I always wear a watch when I'm in public and there are like 5 clocks in my TV room. With the National LDL having a clock, local STARs would get two clocks and that would be confusing. You can't put the clock atop because the "up next" cities go there.
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

Oh, I wasn't complaining about the clock. I have the Intellistar, so I couldn't care less about the satellite LDL. I have half a dozen clocks in my room anyways.
