I'm hearing Everything by Patrick Droney from the Oct list now
-
Well, "Everything" by Patrick Droney is on at 5:08 PM EST here...
-
Well I was right about a playlist starting anytime between March 1-4th. Kinda curious how this list came up sudden.
-
If I Could by Phish at :18.
-
So far, repeats. I like "If I Could", but it would be nice to hear new songs...
-
Another repeat at 5:28... "Walking Through"
-
Walking Through by Kaya Project at :28
-
I'm not liking this list.

I'm not liking this list.
I'm certainly not either...
-
New song...
-
New song sounds nice...
-
New song again... interesting one!
-
You're Always Around by Ron Fattorusso from the Jan 2010 Overnight list at :08

At least it's not Boney James :P
-
Another half-assed playlist I see... :itsok:
-
Well, we have yet to experience even a quarter of the playlist so don't be complaining yet...
-
"Sparks" by The Who at :48. this sounds like a live version
-

That was catchy! I'll think about uploading that.

All I did was use Tunatic :P

As will I :P I was wondering what song that was...

I'm not, all I have to do is hit Mute like I have been doing since November.
-
Supernova by Ryan Farish at :08. I already knew this song would be on TWC anyways
-
Supernova by Ryan Farish at :17. I already knew this song would be on TWC anyways
OMFG, I love that song!
-
I have not been impressed with what I have heard so far.
The only remotely smooth jazz sounding song is by Ron Fattoruso, which has been overplayed, though it is a good song. Does anyone have the full playlist? I hope the morning and daytime are much better. :(
-
We'll probably have to wait until tomorrow for the playlist.
-
Yup until then we'll have to wait and see. Primetime is terrible as usual. Only songs I like are Supernova and the Tony Davilio one.
-
I'm liking most of the songs so far despite that several of them have already played.
-
eww what song just played?
-
eww what song just played?
lol I wouldn't know. I just had a screw up with ID'ing songs. I just made a comment on one of Mike's videos thinking I knew the song. I also uploaded the same LF at the same time, then pulled it. I then realized I should have kept the clip up
-
This month's cut of Walking Through is about three seconds later than the cut used last June.
-
I was in contact with TWC a couple of weeks ago and he was putting together the playlist. I asked him to consider New York City Winter (or any other track for that matter). Maybe it snuck in. trying to get some more airplay. ;) After all, they should be pushing the songs on their theweatherchannelmusic.com site!
Hope everyone is well. After all this snow I am ready for spring and continuing my remix album. Working late in the studio tonight. WOOHOO! :thrilled:

here is the playlist

Thanks for the list mike, David Wells/Chris Geith @ :28

Hooray, Listening Room is back after all these years!
Just heard it at 11:58 AM EST!!!!
-
@ 1:28 pm et
duuude.. that song.. I heard it in the past before.
Also, I knew Supernova by Ryan Farish would be on the playlist. It's suitable for this month (or for this and next month in *case* this turns into a bi-monthly playlist). I'm so going to buy his Bloom album next week.

-
This is a great playlist besides primetime. 8/10 for me.
-
Finally some fresh tunes.. will have to check them out, and update my TWC CD-showcase wish list (stands at 127 CD's, for now)
-
Eddie Reasoner!! Jeanne Ricks!! :thrilled:
Great list! (besides Primetime ;))
-
Malibu is playing right now. Sounds like a more intense version of Clear and Cool. I like it.
-
Good playlist (beside primetime= crap). I'm glad to see Eddie Reasoner and Listening Room back. I hope this playlist does not extended til April. I hate bimonthly playlists now.
-
This is the best and most consistent playlist since April/May 2009. Primetime is not great, but it is better than all of the prior months. At least there is no more music from those football films, or movie themes. I wish they'd play more smooth jazz in primetime, which is puzzling. I like the daytime and the morning. I am pleasantly surprised to see Jeanne Ricks' Listening Room back. I remember when it first came on in July 2000.

I heard "Listening Room" the first time somewhere in 2003 or 2004 (can't remember which...). I'm glad to see it finally made it's comeback again.

Another half-assed playlist I see... :itsok:
4/10 I didn't like any of the songs I thought I might like. :itsok:

Congrats on getting one of your songs on this playlist! I hope we hear more from you in the near future.
-
Despite the handful of recently used songs, this is a pretty awesome playlist. I noticed more use of indie jazz on it (or at least artists who are independent), and for once, no Boney James or George Benson! I rate it a 9/10.
-
I agree. I actually submitted 3 albums to TWC back in early Februrary and I guess you can partly blame on me for the playlist delay....I sent them a list and the albums of songs to use and so far of the 10-12 albums i submitted, they used 3 in my list- Jim Adkins, Marty Q and David Wells
-
Oh yeah, this is only the second playlist since February 2008 where Chris Geith's solo works is not on the playlist. As much of a good artist he is I got really tired of hearing his music every month.

I am too especially all of the newage stuff

I agree. Thank god there's no Chris Geith or Boney James for a change. Eventhough he doesn't have a solo song he composed playing this month, he did composed something with someone else so technically he's still playing in this playlist and I wouldn't expect his music to stop playing anytime soon.

It's not a race. ;)
-
You know there are a couple odd songs but its a solid playlist to me. Just think...it could be worse ;)
-
So is the name of this song "Lighting" or "Warp Speed"?
Local Forecast- 3/04/10 5:58 PM EST (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2OUs7oFbYI#)
I've been told, and everyone is going by, that it's Warp Speed, but according to the playlist, it's Lighting.
-
It's Lighting since it's by Tony Davilio...Warp Speed is the actual song title if you take the time and patience to find the site where this song is available in...

Out of the Blue is far from the worst song!!! I like it. It has a bluesy jazzy feel to it. Malibu is definitely the best song on there. It is typical Eddie Reasoner. I agree, Sparks by the Who doesn't really belong on there. Sleepwalk is a bit too melancholy, but since it the only song like that on the list, I'll give it a pass. Overall, this is the best playlist the Weather Channel has had since April/May 2009.
-
I'm not a fan of Sparks either. It's too repetitive and boring, IMO.
-
I actually kind of like Sparks, but it's definitely not the best song on this list. "Weekend Spot" takes that spot :P
For the first week of the playlist, I kept confusing "Out of the Blue" with "Malibu", and I still haven't memorized many of the songs on the daytime and overnite lists.

Out of the Blue plays way too much and Sparks was eww the first time I heard it. Lynn Patrick style's is nothing special

Just like Patrick Droney's boring and rather annoying music, Lynn Patrick's music actually all sounds the same. It's next to impossible for me to identify each of that artist's songs.
