this is my local weather id: 24820, what does that mean and is there a place where I can look it up?
-
The Local Weather ID is just that, your IntelliSTAR's identity, and it's housed at your local cable company.
Example: the 3 former IntelliSTARs in DFW:
Addison: #22106
Irving: #22107
Lewisville: #22110

The Local Weather ID is used to identify the WeatherSTAR (gives you the local forecast) at your Cable Company. You can't look it up, it won't give you weather info or anything (my first impression when they deployed it back in 2004 or so).
The only thing it's useful for is reporting errors.

My local weather ID is 21897. This for the Boardwalk but at the Mainland it's 21896.

Fall River -New Bedford Intellstar ID # 22622

If 21896 and 21897 are what serve Atlantic City, then why is 21876's CC site Atlantic City? Shouldn't it be a city in Cape May County?

21876 is supposed to be Wildwood or Rio Grande, not exactly sure. I know the Cape May County Intellistars have Atlantic City as their CC site.
Speaking of Cape May County, I saw a Junior the other day around Woodbine/Marmora, NJ!

Why are you guys posting ID's?
He asked what they mean, not what your ID's are.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing.

Really? My aunt lives in that area. Next time I'm down there I'll have to take a look.

it's not by comcast. it's at a local community center which has their own private cable system

Which is moot, because we don't do that here (at least yet, anyway-maybe we will if TWC ever gets smart).

The local Weather ID here in Laredo is 24920.

Even though I used to have Comcast, my Intellistar's ID is 21916 as I remember
