The Local Weather ID is just that, your IntelliSTAR's identity, and it's housed at your local cable company.

Example: the 3 former IntelliSTARs in DFW:

Addison: #22106
Irving: #22107
Lewisville: #22110

The Local Weather ID is used to identify the WeatherSTAR (gives you the local forecast) at your Cable Company. You can't look it up, it won't give you weather info or anything (my first impression when they deployed it back in 2004 or so).

The only thing it's useful for is reporting errors.

If 21896 and 21897 are what serve Atlantic City, then why is 21876's CC site Atlantic City? Shouldn't it be a city in Cape May County?

21876 is supposed to be Wildwood or Rio Grande, not exactly sure. I know the Cape May County Intellistars have Atlantic City as their CC site.

Speaking of Cape May County, I saw a Junior the other day around Woodbine/Marmora, NJ!

Why are you guys posting ID's?

He asked what they mean, not what your ID's are.

Really? My aunt lives in that area. Next time I'm down there I'll have to take a look.

Which is moot, because we don't do that here (at least yet, anyway-maybe we will if TWC ever gets smart).
