I still have to see the HD LF before I buy that it actually exists.
The whole concept is so confusing, and I always thought TWC was done making new star systems. :fear:

This enough for ya?  ;)

This video belongs to youtube user Eltiempo10, not me.
EDIT: At this point it obviously is still in the testing stages, and I believe he has videos of it from sometime in November or December also

Well, not really. Again, I have to see it for myself, not just on recordings that are posted on-line. The whole concept makes almost no sense to me.

I don't get it; why's it hard to understand that they need to create an HD Star?

I think from the look of the video, TWC is trying to make it all fancy with eye candy but does anyone else think that the flashy graphics are taking the focus away from the actual information on the screen (or the lack-thereof with not having the detailed local current conditions right at the beginning of the LF)?  To add to that, has the look of the HDLF changed at all since its introduction?  Is there an actual LDL now aside from the time/temp?

Yes, TWC is trying to get fancy with it. Granted, I actually like the transitions, as I think it really is the future, but overall, I don't like the HD star. The Intellistar before October 23rd, 2007 was just fine. The transitions between pages were perfect, and added to the Local Forecast without distracting too much as they do on the HD star. TWC has made some negative changes, and they will never stop changing things until they wise-up and realize they do have fans.

I do not believe the look of the HDLF has changed much yet, last time Eltiempo10 saw it was December I believe. I agree. It looks cool, but it really detracts fro mthe info. AFAIK they are planning to have a current conditions screen and an LDL, most likely with narrations. GIVE ME THE 2003-2005 GRAPHICS PACKAGE!!!! THOSE WORKED FINE AND DONT LOOK OLD AT ALL!!!!!

Sweet!  I am looking forward to whenever it finally gets installed so I can watch TWC HD in all its glory :D  If they add the screens that are currently shown (i.e. detailed currents, day-part forecast, almanac, etc.), I think the HD Star will be a marvelous piece of technology!!

I agree 100%!   Also, My thoughts about the HD star have changed. I formerly thought that the HD star would be WORSE than the current Intellistar, but things have changed. I still have to see the HD star myself, and I hope to get Verizon FiOS with TWC [HD] sometime in the next 10 to 14 months.  :)

Its still up? Does it have the same design? I would expect and hope the HD star to look quite different when they finally finish it

It's still pretty much the same as last year.

I would have imagined there have been quite a few changes if they've been beta testing this for ten months now.
