i hope satellite viewers get it too!

I doubt satellite viewers will get a true LF soon.  Plus, they already have their HD STAR

Like the SD Satellite LF, the HD Satellite LF is not an actual STAR. It's just part of the national feed that TWC sends out. If your cable company had no STAR installed, you'd see the national feed Satellite LF (either SD or HD).

Yea..I'm not sure what everyone's speculating about a "true satellite local forecast."  We have it now, there's nothing else to change

Has there been any news on the actual implementation of the HD LF since the announcement of it being introduced in the second half of '08? (which was obviously a while ago)

Yes, in NY. There is no set launch date, but hopefully it will be out of the beta stages by year's end.

Personally, I wouldn't place money on that, though. :itsok:

Is that thing running as an actual unit at the headend or as an alternate feed out of TWC?

I know how slow things can go with getting approval and hardware tweaked with everything...but it would be awesome to finally have a working HD LF so I don't have to continue switching back and forth between HD & SD just to know what the current conditions are.

If anyone knows, what does the LDL look like on the HD side of things, aside from the time/temp under the TWC|HD logo?

I'd have to say the alternate feed of TWC because if you hear in the videos of it, the sound is in stereo, and I believe I saw one time Kyle explained to us that the STAR is what caused TWC to go mono.
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

I still have to see the HD LF before I buy that it actually exists.
The whole concept is so confusing, and I always thought TWC was done making new star systems. :fear:
TWC in...

E. Lansing: Comcast, Channel 40, STAR ID 22842
