(I decided to bring this topic to the Local Forecast Forums from the Contributions.)
Since TWC doesn't have the February and April 2007 Playlists,
I decided to make my own.
The Blank Lines are for the usual amount of songs for each part of the playlist.
There are usually around 15 songs for daytime and 10 for Primetime and Overnight.
I'm sure that is known by many.
(If the Weather Channel just had the real thing.)
Enjoy!
If there are some songs not listed, feel free to add to the list.
Thanks!

Those songs aren't by Kim Hansen. In fact, I think Gary should put them on the unknown songs page.
-
That's a good idea. I'll see if I can get them up tomorrow. :sunglasses:

There's actually another song I'd like to put there, but it's on youtube. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNK5YuH8df4) It's been unknown since November 2006.
-
Is there any song identity software we can use to ID those songs?
-
If there not publically available, it won't work. period. Even many unpopular songs aren't ID'd
-
Hey LL.. i see you listed Just We two by Kim Hansen.. which song is that. Let me know

Here's another unknown song (http://www.twctodayforums.com/junior/WeatherSTAR_Junior_M_Flavor_-_Frigid_Temps_-_Feb_5_2007.wmv) from the February Overnight list.

That is Out of the Rain by John Michael MIkity and Daniel Joseph Smith, retitled on John Brighton's Dreamin CD from 1/07 playlist
-
Just we Two by Kim Hansen is actually a Doug Granville song. Someone contacted Kim and he said the work was not his.

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuIsLoygyrQ) is the song we thought was "Just We Two", but it's actually a Doug Granville song. I do recall a song that had a similar style to "Talk to Me" by Kim Hansen during March 2007, but I don't have a clip of it.
-
It has an exaxt style ias Playing In the cold back in August 2005. Does any1 have a clip of that song?

The second song sounds kinda like Jim Lum. The third and fourth songs are also the same, but I just can't seem to recall the name of it. I think the last two are both "Fade to Black" by Patrick Yandall.

you are right it is patrick yandall thank you lfmusic fan you are a true friend

This song sounds like a carryover from the January 07 Playlist....The one by Donna Sue Kilpatrick (Lucky's Groove)
The reason why I say that is that Lucky's Groove is one of two songs from that daypart that I dont have. The other songs I dont have from that daypart is Waves of Color by Samuel Lincoln, which was used on 11/06..so by elimination
-
is Donna's music available for purchase?

"Waves of Color" by Samuel Lincoln. Also Used on 11/06 overnight as well
It's kind of ironic that the song was played in November 2006 and February 2007, and we have neither of those playlists.
-
they said Jan 07 had the same music for feb 07
-
I think that third song is Hangin' With You by Chuck Loeb from his album Presence.
-
I was just looking through my tapes, and I heard "Saturday Morning" by Art Ruprecht during the April daytime list and a bunch of classic jazz songs. Unfortunately, the LFs with those songs are full of static, so it's impossible to hear anything. Attached is the longest clip I was able to get from the jazzy songs (about 12 seconds).
And based on my little BMI pattern I discovered, a Kim Hansen song called "Stolen Moments" aired during the april playlist. I'm not sure whether it aired in the primetime or overnight lists though. :(
I don't remember hearing "Tender Moment" by Tony Davilio in the april daytime list.
Here's another song (http://song) in the February daytime list that you don't have. I know based on the sound it's Joe Loskota. According to my BMI pattern I discovered, it's called "Night Out".
EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot. This song (http://myrandomtwcstuff.googlepages.com/UnknownSong16.mp3) which you have listed in the daytime list actually aired in the primetime list.
-
I remember hearing Tony Davilio in April
-
Tender Moment aired in the April Primetime list.
-
Has this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTF-gqrWKvQ) from the daytime February playlist been identified yet?
-
Has this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTF-gqrWKvQ) from the daytime February playlist been identified yet?
I've been told it was "Night Out" by Joe Laskota. He plays a lot of instruments like sax, piano, and guitar.
-
Has this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTF-gqrWKvQ) from the daytime February playlist been identified yet?
Yeah, I IDd that song in my large post above.

The first and the third ones are "Lucky's Groove" by Donna Kilpatrick (identified on the other page), and the second one sounds like "Waves of Color" by Samuel Lincoln (also identified on the other page). Both of which are unavailable for purchase. :(
-
There is absolutely no way to get the Samuel Lincoln song. I'm after quite a few songs done by him as well. As for the Donna Kilpatrick song, I'm still investigating, so don't give up hope on that one...
-

but i'll except samuel lincoln song as unavailable music and i'll try not to give up on other artist like donna sue kilpatrick. but please forgive me from last night message is just that when you said i started crying .

Oh, I'm not mad. Trust me, I know what it feels like to know that my favorite songs are unavailable. I have a list of about 30 songs I'm trying to get that are unavailable (about half are samuel lincoln).

That's "You 're The Star" by Network Music, used in August, 1995. From the Network Music Productiion Library. TWC used 75 77 Network tunes for the Local Forecast in the early mid nineties and they arent available except through a licensing contract and its very expensive
-
There are so many unavailable songs only obtainable through licensing. :(
-
 oh mann well what is the first song by
-
We don't know. TWC lost the November 2006 playlist. <_<

Evelyn, thanks for those overnight clips. Don't worry, you're not the only one who goes crazy over TWC music. (That's why I wanted to make these lists.)
Music Fan - thanks to you, too. (What is your BMI pattern. Interesting! The jazz song clip won't play. Send everything you can.)
... along with everyone else I forgot to mention.
Hope these lists are a good temporary replacement for TWC's lost ones.

I could've sworn i heard "Dogs" by Pink Floyd in the April primetime list too
-
I swear I heard "Thought I Told U About That" by Keyan Williams and TUSP in Either 2/07 or 4 /07 Daytime. I know I heard that song before (100% confident)
-
Another song for sure I know was used on February overnite was "Autumn Breeze" from James P.J. Spraggins' "The Light Of Day" CD.. I believe "Fade to Black" by Patrick Yandall is wrong. That song was used 1/07.
Racin' Thru The Andes by David Becker tribune was used, wrong daypart. That song was used on daytime.
One More Correction .. "Dr. Smoothe" by PY, from his "Back to the Groove" CD was used 2/07 Daytime. I recall testing songs from when I had my library on my old computer on iTunes. I discovered that song
-
<a href="http://files.filefront.com/unknown+feb07+overnight+6wav/;10110316;/fileinfo.html" title="unknown_feb.07_overnight_6.wav"><img style="border:none;" src="http://static4.filefront.com/ffv6/graphics/b_dl_now.gif" alt="unknown_feb.07_overnight_6.wav"/> i think this is song you're talking about sorry had to get my computer fix took a long time but i finally got it back
and while it was away i was listening to my tape and came across it .
-
That song is "Shuffle Bop" from Ron Fattorusso's 'Radio Edits and More...' CD
-
I found another song that was used in February 2007...not sure if it was daytime or overnight but
"Now And Then" from Fred Gross's Weathering The Storm CD was used in February 2007. Gary has it listed in his music clips section. I did recall hearing that song as well
-
I don't think "Just We Two" by Kim Hansen was used in the April and February overnight playlists. I believe that a song entitled "Eureka" by Kim Hansen aired in the February overnight playlist and a song called "Stolen Moments" by Kim Hansen aired during the April overnight playlist.
-
How do you know this song (Eureka) was used
-

You can add "By Grace" by Ryan Farish on the daytime April playlist.

It can't be Mark. I have all his songs from May 2006.

That style IS EXACTLY like Mark. Maybe if you email him that clip he could identify?

Here's another primetime 4/07 song too. I LOVE IT. It has that sexy latin feel to it.

That sounds like one of the songs from Lee Hogan's "The Vibe Orientation" CD
-
I sampled all of the songs and it isn't
-
I can confirm that this song (http://myrandomtwcstuff.googlepages.com/UnknownSong16.mp3) is NOT Mark Krurnowski. I emailed him about it, and he didn't recognize it. :(

Maybe I'm crazy, but that sounds a lot like Michael Ripoll.
-
Nope .....Michael has only one song used on TWC (I have it)
-
Have we found out about the name, or at least heard of this Feb 07 primetime song (http://youtube.com/watch?v=0xruZ-YUN5I) yet? It sounds like it could be Jeanne Ricks, as it sounds a lot like one of my other clips from Nov 06. I came across this and several other songs on tape recently and completely forgot about them. See others from this timeframe on my YouTube.
-
Does anyone know who does this song?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_4lI5a3vf0

"Butterfly Stomp" by Doug Markley is another song that was used in the primetime list. I think it's one of the songs that gvk9r uploaded, but it got removed. Actually Vic, it may have been the one in the clip you just posted..
-
Yep!!!!! That's the one!!!! But, I don't recall Doug ever playing a sax. Maybe the latin song is by Doug too...
-
Yep!!!!! That's the one!!!! But, I don't recall Doug ever playing a sax. Maybe the latin song is by Doug too...
I just checked all of Doug's songs, but the latin one isn't by him. Unless the latin song is one of the following songs, I don't think we'll ever know the name. :(

I sampled all of Yandall's, Markley's and Smith's songs and they dont sound like any from 4/07. Bill Killpatrick's music doesnt sound similar from that list either.
-
I think that latin song is by Jim Lum. the guitar sounds very familiar to "Under the Weather"

But there were no other Jim Lum songs added during that time. I still think it's Michael Ripoll...

"Butterfly Stomp" by Doug Markley is another song that was used in the primetime list. I think it's one of the songs that gvk9r uploaded, but it got removed. Actually Vic, it may have been the one in the clip you just posted..
I'll promise to reupload them. I've haven't transfered the DVD recordings to my computer yet.
-
No worries. :) Of course, I'd really be looking for a satellite LF of that song, but your clip will have to do, since nobody captured one. :(

Didn't you say you had a DVD recording of it on satellite?

Yes, I did have a recording of it on satellite, but it was on VHS. And I taped over it, because my only concern then was capturing the John Menzano song. So I only have the first 2 seconds of it. lol
Would anyone here happen to have a decent quality/2 minute clip of this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6G53ZUuWtg) from the April daytime playlist?
-
Ooh that's a nice song. Did anyone contact Michael Ripoll yet?
-
Speaking of April songs, here's another unknown song that aired during the overnight playlist:

I haven't the slightest clue who composes it. :itsok:

Would this song be "Rhumba for my Lady" by Richard Smith? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jQXgMfgxSQ&feature=channel_page (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jQXgMfgxSQ&feature=channel_page)
Certainly sounds like Richard Smith after hearing the guitar and piano. Richard Smith the only other artist I can think of who has the jazz guitar style and piano in the background in the music.

Nope, that's not Richard Smith. That guitarist has a very unique style that is unlike that of Richard Smith.

Darn it, I just emailed Richard. <_<

I don't know. :dunno: That's the point of asking him.

He didn't reply to my email. If he does reply, I'll ask him about the latin song and the recent song you identifed from 11/06.
-

Yup, I have a video of it.
I need to see a video before I believe that George Howard was on the playlist.. ;)
-
Someone posted it on TWCC awhile back, not sure if it's still there.
-
How do you know Who Da Bossa Me (by Donna Sue Kilpatrick) aired on TWC? evidence?
Come to think about it, after testing the song... It is one of the videos that you sent me, and I think further that "who da bossa me" is "Across the Bay" from 3/07. Come to think of it That song kinda does sound like you're boating "across the bay". A lot of the 3/07 overnight tunes were used in April as well...as there was no "official" listing. Above The Horizon by Samuel Lincoln was also used on 4/07, as I heard that song
EDIT - I just solved the "Across The Bay" mystery..... I tested the time in of "Who Da Bossa Me" Against Across the Bay from my 3/07 playlist (:12) and it does check out.. I might have to hear the LF video again... but i am 99.99999% confident that song is "Across the Bay" from 3/07 as well
On A separate note... Tender Moment by Davilio was NOT used on daytime....if anything the song was used on Primetime. "I Thought I told U About That" by Keyan Williams and TUSP was used on 4/07 DAYTIME
-
Here's the clip of the Kilpatrick song, Chuck:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApzmuKvwAAU (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApzmuKvwAAU)
Ahhh, you're right about the Davilio song. "Brothers" by Patrick Yandall shouldn't have been there. I got it confused with the February playlist. In it's place, I put "Tender Moment" and in place of "Tender Moment" I put the Keyan Williams song. Thanks for the correction.
Hey Chuck, do you know who could've composed this classic jazzy tune? This is the one from the daytime playlist:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Y6rg4XvlU8 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Y6rg4XvlU8)
It's NOT Lee Hogans as we previously thought. I recall seeing 'Brad Hatfield' show up on the BMI pattern, but I'm not too familar with his music.
-
The Jazzy song isnt Brad Hatfield is he is guitar. Maybe Ken Gregory or Joe Loskota....since they both play straight ahead jazz

I think we can eliminate Joe, because this was before all his supermax songs appeared (except for 'Night Out', which aired in February). But Ken Gregory is certainly a possiblity...
Ah, so Brad is guitarist? Do you think there's any possiblity he composed this song?

I sampled some of his songs in itunes, none of them sound remotely similar to the latin song.
-
Just discovered that the song that Mike posted that we thought was Steve Glotzer/Rippingtons is "Rhumba Malaysia" by Richard Smith.
-
really...where's the LF video... i recall sending you that song, since it did sound familiar
-

Yep, I didn't recognize it until he put the video up. Here's the link:

That's ironic. Both songs from that album played in 11/06 and 4/07 and we have neither playlist.
-
Stolen Moments - Kim Hansen - n/a
How do you know that's an overnight song? Is there a clip of it?
-
Rhumba Malaysia - Richard Smith - From My Window
Rhumba Malaysia is from "Natural Soul" ( I have the CD)
-
It's actually from "From my Window" too. Check on amazon and quietstorm.com
