Title: Lead on Kathy Ball's music
Post by: ndinminot on March 27, 2008, 08:49:12 PM
I preformed a keyword search, and since kathy ball is sax it lead to a site by saxophonist Chris Ball, who has a CD called "Monterey" released  12/07, which happens to coincide with when the Kathy Ball tunes started appearing on TWC. unfortunately the samples on the CD sound like crap, but from what I heard the songs sound a lot like the Kathy Ball tunes. Another case of the spouse getting the listings (refer to Ursula Pacheco, Yvonne Ayers, et. al. One of the songs is "Window to the World" which resembles the TWC listing from 1/08. www.chrisballonline.com (http://www.chrisballonline.com) is the link

It's not there either. How can I contact him? The email on the site is only for the mailing list.

Just go to the contact page (http://www.chrisballonline.com/contact.html) and remove the "Mailing List" from the subject line.

I'm baffled on two things:

Chris Ball looks a lot like Barack Obama

second, if there are 10 songs on the CD, then why are only 4 of them on itunes?

EDIT: I meant BMI  :blushing:

I got a response from Chris Ball:

Hi Victor! Thanks for the kind note. My CD is being manufactured at this very moment and should be in my hands in just a few business days (today is March 28th)! I'm thrilled. It sounds great! I will write you as soon as it's ready. Thanks for your interest in my music! I will be in touch.

Sincerely,

Chris Ball

EDIT: I meant BMI  :blushing:

Those 4 songs are the ones he licensed to Frank Josephs for usage on TWC.. He might licensed the whole CD...but those songs appear on BMI b/c they were used... I presume

SO Chris and Frank worked together? They're sound is different/

no they dont work together...someof the artists that appear under the 'supermax label ' on BMI submit their music to Frank, and he in turns submits them to TWC, who in turns sends the royalty checks to the artists.
