Since the October 2012 playlist to me there has been a shift in the types of songs picked.
More newer and obscure rock and pop artists are added and to many songs where the lyrics in general don't have a happy tone to them.

I've noticed it too. Way too many vocal and too few instrumental songs. The overnight playlist even has a substantial number of vocals as well, this was not the case at all earlier this summer.

That's probably the best vocal song on the list. Of course, instrumental would be better.

Is it just because of the holiday playlist being used in December that they kept some of the December regular playlist songs for January?

Hearing Lady Gaga and Imagine Dragons on the LFs this morning...

Since I don't track the playlist music as much as some of you do, it was quite a change.  Of course I've heard vocals on the LF before, but these pop songs made it a whole lot different.

Yeah, they really are embracing mainstream pop music in the playlists lately, especially for the morning and WUWA segments. :hmm:

Noticed the original version of  "Something Good Can Work "-   Two Door Cinema Club
was added to the morning playlist.

Day and evening playlists use the remix version.
