January 2010 Playlist

I am completely stumped on this one...

I've narrowed it down to 2 songs, I think. Anyone have any ideas what it is? I first thought it was Pink Floyd, then when I realized they are not on this playlist, I thought it was Jim Lum.|

I think it's that Bill McDermott song, doesn't really sound like Ron's style.

So far, I'm not impressed with this month's playlist at all. All the songs I've heard so far just sound terrible. They might grow on me over time, but at the moment I don't like it.

I still haven't heard most of the songs for this month yet, but I have heard most of the Primetime portion and once again I think it's horrible just like the last playlist's primetime portion.

Yeah, for all intents and purposes, I am going to assume it is the Bill McDermott song.

I agree with you guys... not crazy about this list at all. Granted, as is the case with most any playlist, there are a few songs I like.

Well my only exception in this Primetime list is Ryan Farish's "Storm Chaser" & Clouds of Heaven" and that Candy Dulfer song (I can't remember the song name off the top of my head). I also like "After the Rain" by Chris Geith and that Jeanne Ricks song (I don't remember that one off the top of my head either).

Interesting how these playlists are getting successively worse with time... several recent repeats already. "Crimea II" by Bodhi at 6:28 PM EST... which is now becoming "Restless Heart", if you know what I mean.

WTH?  I can already tell this will be at the top #1 as the worst song to play for this month and I haven't even heard half of the playlist yet. I disliked it when it first played two years ago, I loathed it last year, and I'm gonna hate it this month.

I started hating that song when it's was featured in the 3rd playlist (Dec 08).

There are waaaaay too many repeats on this playlist.

  I think Stone Groove is actually becoming the next Restless Heart, moreso than Bodhi. Over the last year, I am sure it has played on at least 3 playlists. It is not Boney James' best song. I like Nothin But Love, from back in the day, but I have not heard it on the Weather Channel yet!!!! Maybe I have to tape it in the daytime, or something. I like Eminence Front by the Who. To be honest, I never recall listening to anything by the Who, but I downloaded, and it is really good. It is kind of funky too. But there has not been a consistently good playlist since April/May 2009.  A song I do wish they would bring back is King of the Burgs by Lettuce. That is a jam! If I were to rate this playlsit, I would give it 6 out of 10, and it got extra points for the Shaft theme.

They surely are playing songs repeatedly on this playlist. And, some of the songs really do need to go imo.

I was definitely bobbin' my head to this one. It really isn't a typical TWC song, but it is better than a lot of the other songs on the playlist.

Btw, there is a song with a saxophone playing, along with a trumpet. I have been looking for the song, but I'm guessing it is Spirit by Ron Fattorouso.

This isn't too bad of a playlist, but a lot of the songs are playing at the wrong times. For example, Rain Daze and Jung at Heart should be playing on overnight, Shaft should be on morning, and Europa should be on primetime.
