...has the "Local On The 8s" segments shortened down to 1 minute?
This morning at 7:48AM CDT, the LF has shown Current Conditions, Today's Regional Forecast, 24-Hour Forecast and the 7-Day Outlook. And again at 8:08AM CDT with CC, Radar, 24-Hour Forecast, and 7-Day Outlook.
Is this temporary or permanent?
-
Idk i just saw the same 1 min LF @ 10:38am EDT
Mine Was CC, Regional Conditions, Forecast for Local areas today and tonight, 24HR forecast, The Week Ahead

Interesting. Looks like they've cut down the duration of the local forecasts so that they would have more time to cover the active tropics.
-
Oh man it better not be permanent :( I like to enjoy the music.

It's not permanent. ;)
-
How do you know it's temporary?
-
It's temporary for tropical weather coverage. You think they'd show only one minute LFs all the time? That wouldn't be pleasing.
-
Who knows? TWC changes many things suddenly without notice. Like when they reintroduced those K flavors at :18 and :48 back in April 2007, no one knew they'd come back. And I still wish TWC could bring back those 2 minute flavors back.
-
It's probably for tropical coverage, or to catch up on commercials they left out over the weekend.
-
Looks like the flavors are back to their original durations here during the overnight.

Now it's back and they terminated the :08 and :38 flavours.
