I'd take the satellite LF with the graphics package used from roughly June 2004 right up to the big redesign in August 2005.

What is the "fizzle effect"?
The fade transition between certain pages like the TCF, Regional Forecast, etc.

B/c it fizzled. It didn't fade. Not sure why they removed it.

It would've been too repeatative and gotten old/annoying really fast...
