Not really a tech support question. An update has to be pushed to every box and thats probably easier said than done

If the icon issue was big enough to cause a new set to be released, then DirecTV should have the same thing. (there are more DirecTV viewers than those who have an XL, 4000, etc)

IIRC, I don't think Brian is in charge or music any more. Or at least he's not the only person in charge.
