I only see 1 song that was carried over from last month's playlist.

That one song that I really like in the primetime playlist is Lanai by Hiroshima. Hiroshima is quite an odd name for a jazz band. I can understand Tokyo from my half Asian ancestry but Hiroshima just stirs back memories of the atomic bomb.

Nice to see they are back to doing primetime playlists.

A lot of these songs though seem sleepy. This new guy has a weird taste in music.

COME BACK STEVE HURST!!! :(

I have a strange feeling that Steve left becasue of the vocal tunes. TWC enthusiasts had an outcry of the music. Boy, I don't want to hear the vocal tunes again!

No, the president of TWC TOLD him to play vocal music.

IMO, if you going to air vocal music, at least play GOOD vocal music.

Same here. IMO, there is no such thing as good vocal music for playing on the LF.

I wouldnt mind vocal if it was good music. but the stuff they played was shit.
IMO, vocal music of ANY kind does NOT belong on TWC. Vocals and the LF just don't mix.

I agree too...the prez of TWC is a woman, maybe that has to do with the fact that she told Steve to play the vocal stuff ....for the most part, women arent into instrumental music , especially since the music culture is saturated with pop diva crap. Most women I used to talk to hated my music. just a thought....

Yup, the prez is Deborah Wilson and I'm pretty sure she could care less about instrumental music <_<

Hey speaking of which, does anyone have any LF videos from August 2003? I remember there was that 4000 video

I never got into any of the classic rock tunes they've played (Pink Floyd, Phish, Trey Anastasio, Derek and the Dominoes, etc.). It just never struck me as something that belongs on the lf.

Some of the classic rock stuff they have played wasn't realy good, but there were definitely some memorable songs (IMHO)

At one point, there was a site with Mother My Angel on it, but it had lyrics in it. It was weird. The site no longer exsists.
I have a crappy recording of it, with the lyrics in it.
Title: Re: Here is the July 2007 Playlist
Post by: lfmusiclover on July 16, 2007, 10:09:46 AM
I'm not saying the songs weren't good, I just don't think they belong on the LF, and for that reason they never really appealed to me in that setting.

Carlos, I was once told of a website where it was, but I don't remember it at this point. If I can remember it, I'll let you all know.

So the only song that's really impossible to get is "Saturday Night" (of course it has to be my favorite ). "Tempest Wind" and "Island Winds" can both be played on KSMI since they're on BMI.
