So, does HiRAD work for sites in other countries? Ever since Hamilton, Ontario was put on my metro map and now E.L.'s, there never has been a sky CC, but simply a temperature. Sometimes, there is no observation at all. This still happens, even during the HiRAD days.

AFAIK, HiRAD only works in the lower 48, so it's probably a reporting station that's on there. It's quite possible the reporting station is simply not reporting sky conditions. There are some around here that are like this, such as Andover, NJ and the inner harber in Baltimore.

Does anyone know if the IntelliStar still has its "significant weather mode," when the radar is shown more and other products (air quality, traffic products, etc) are shown less? I haven't seen this here since April 2007, and we've had plenty of winter storms and severe weather events since. Has this feature been discontinued?

It was never a feature, but rather just a temporary playlist created and manually sent out to certain STARs by the STAR Team.

For Hamilton, Ontario I have only seen the sky condition once durring a cc segment... but that was about 8 months ago...

It's been like that for a while, I recorded some LF with the warning tone back in February and I think that's the last time I ever heard it sound off 7 beeps.

I am not sure there is any mode for it, but you can see this in my "June 7th Flash Flooding" Video. I am guessing that in times of severe weather, the radar would need more time to loop, and there would be less time for other products.

This morning there was a malfunction with the local on the 8s bug. It showed the old one instead of the new one.
Wish I had a WeatherSTAR 4000. Brings back memories.

Well, TWC has been having sporadic audio issues today. I notice the audio was out from 6:59 AM EDT to approximately 8:50 AM EDT this morning, and the 5:18 PM EDT LF had music 45 seconds in, until that LF became silent. Oddly, a 5 or so second clip from a Petsmart commercial played during that LF. The music was fine for the 5:28 PM EDT LF, but the 5:38 LF was silent, completely.
