Quick IntelliStar Marine Forecast question:

What happens when the text of the Marine Forecast is long enough that it goes to the end of the first page? Does the remaining text overflow to a second page or is the text simply truncated at the end of the first page?

Marine Forecast only has one page. There have been cases where an advisory would be so long or so many advisories in effect that the actual marine forecast doesn't have room to display.

Hmm... why isn't the weather bulletin on my IntelliStar not showing? There's still a flood watch in effect...

There is no second page. I've seen one instance during a major storm here where the weather info doesn't fit on one page, and it just cuts off.

Holy macaroni!! :o

I saw a teacher today at my school who looks EXACTLY like Jeanne Ricks! Spooky  Maybe it was Jeanne in disguise at my school.

Has anyone seen "sprinkles" in the forecast? It's showing up here and it uses the few showers icon. I haven't seen sprinkles being used in years! :o

Yeah, they use it every now and then. I haven't seen it regularly since 2005-06.

It's still showing up here. I hope it stays on there tomorrow night when I see what the text-based forecasts say for sprinkles.

This may sound silly, but does anyone know if BMI has a way to ID songs? I was thinking about asking them to try and ID a couple unknown TWC songs...

You can give it a try, wouldn't hurt. I doubt they can help though it's not like BMI has some special software that can identify any song in its repertoire.

As for those unknown Nov06/Feb07/Apr07 songs contacting Steve Hurst IMHO is the best idea. Matt gave me his email a while back but I can't seem to find it.

I have tried absolutely every possible way to ID those songs. I tried contacting Brian Picard and Tony Fulkerson, but they claim they didn't keep music records then. And Steve Hurst's email no longer works. I also tried using my BMI pattern to try and ID the songs, but my guess is that the artist is not published by supermax music. I've even tried searching on google and myspace for someone linking and identifying those songs, but have turned up nothing. I even gave clips to Gary with hopes that the artist might come here. So contacting BMI would be my absolute last resort.

BMI would know nothing. They don't hold music.

But it's worth a try. I'm desperate for that song from November 2006 that we've been looking for forever.

Unfortunately I have to side with the folks who say BMI won't know. I just can't imagine anyone being able to identify a song from a clip. Its not like they intimately know every song by every artist in their repertoire.
